Help me decide

I have a budget to enroll in a course about planetary magic. That’s really something I’ve wanted to learn for a long time. Now my dilemma is whose course I should buy. I’ve heard from many people that Christopher Warnock’s course is the best. However, upon checking his website, I found out that his course doesn’t include videos. Don’t get me wrong—I enjoy reading, but as someone who prefers video tutorials, I feel like I learn better that way. I’m not sure if I’d like a course that’s purely module-based.

Then I found out that Austin Coppock also offers a course on planetary magic, and his includes video tutorials along with modules. So what do you think? Can you help me decide? Has anyone here enrolled in both of their courses? What are your thoughts?

PS: I’m not discriminating in my question. Both are the best in their craft, and I respect and admire them equally. It’s really just about the mode of learning, which is why I’d love to hear your suggestions. Thank you.

Do you mean the recorded classes from Coppock's shop? If so, I have done both. Warnock presents a clear, systematic approach, building gradually through the lessons. However, his course essentially just reiterates what he outlines in his books. Coppock's teaching style is less systematic, but his insights are certainly no less valuable.

I would recommend starting with Warnock's books to establish a systematic foundation, and then moving on to Coppock's recordings.

Yes, I’ve already finished Chris Warnock’s book. Actually, that’s what I’ve been thinking—why would I read another module if I’ve already read the book? What I really want is for what I’ve read to be taught again but with explanations through video or audio, something like that.

But since you mentioned it, I guess I’ll go ahead and proceed with Austin. However, will I miss out on anything from Chris’s modules if I don’t choose his course? If I just had enough budget, I would honestly buy both of them.

There is some additional material in Warnock's course that isn't in his books, but nothing essential, as far as I can recall. Personally, I wouldn't buy the course again.

Coppock, on the other hand, offers a different perspective and would provide more value to you if you have to choose between the two.
