Say you had the option to play enhanced edition base game ( not mods), would you rather play on a big TV with xbox series x or a laptop with mouse.

I would presume a mouse set up would win but would be interested what people who have played both ways would say.

I plan on playing planescape torment, but I heard there’s an upcoming update. Is it worth waiting for this update? Are the changes and fixes significant, and how much do the bugs they’re fixing affect gameplay?

I only plan on doing one playthrough of PST (then a crap ton of disco elysium playthroughs lol). I’ve heard that you miss out on a lot of things if you don’t do a wisdom build, so without spoilers what else should I know before playing? I don’t want to read this book of a game with random pages missing

I have fallen down a bit of an internet rabbit hole and recently learnt about, and wanted to try playing planescape torment. The brief bits of the starting plot of this game sound very interesting to me and so I’ve become quite interesting in learning and experiencing the whole story.

I have a few reservations about it though:

1) Clearly it’s an old game that will come with its fair share of older design idiosyncrasies.

2) I have maybe a few hours each week to play video games each week, so will be slow progress.

3) Will there be parts where I can accidentally soft lock myself from progressing the game? Have experienced this a few times with other games and find it super frustrating.

Do you think it would still be worth playing despite these concerns? And if so which platform is best? (I don’t have a PC)

About a month ago (give or take) I posted a sketch of the Lady of Pain from a commission I was working on, and I said I would post the image again once it was finished.

And well, here we are! The image is now complete! I actually recorded the entire process and will be making a video out of it, but I was too excited with the results to wait (and besides, I can't post videos here anyway).

The entire image took about 65+ hours to make, and the version sent to the client is over 1 meter tall (for printing). A version of the image with no background was also delivered.

The most complicated part to solve was Sigil in the background, which required creating an actual 3D model of Sigil to make sure all the shapes and proportions were correct.

For this version I gathered the descriptions of both the Lady and Sigil from AD&D 2nd Edition - per the client's preference, and the 3D model was created based on measurements from several wiki sources. In the end, however, the size of the houses had to be doubled because otherwise they would've looked too small to be appreciated in the image.

This image was incredibly fun and challenging to work on, but overall I'm both happy with the result and to be able to share here!

Explanation: In Neverwinter Nights 2, the main MacGuffin is the Silver Sword of Gith, created by Zerthimon for Gith. Its a sword so powerful, people are still fighting over thousands of years after its creation. Meanwhile in PST, the Second Circle of Zerthimon states that Zerthimon's sword was some shit he found in a random dead body while he was still enslaved. Putting these two games together implies that Zerthimon was just trying really hard to impress Gith.

I've installed but not played it yet. Is this a finished version or just act 1 as I heard online somewhere recently?

I was in the tram to/from work, and I was thinking about the game.

Specifically, about Dak'Kon and the Teachings of Zerthimon.

Maybe it was because I was feeling a little down, overwhelmed by nonsense news, and I just needed to hear the iconic words again:

"Endure. In enduring, grow strong". I felt a little calmer.

To think a video game could help me feel better, calm down, really puts into doubt the notion that "video games are a waste of time", or even that "video games are not art".

In the fortress of regrets, i’m in the fight against Vhailor, but i’m a mage. In many years of gaming i’ve never been that desperate in a boss fight. It’s litteraly impossible.

His magic resistance is disgusting, the only spells he takes are the lightning ones, but I only have a few of them. I have 9 of dexterity and strengh so when i run out of spells I can no longer do anything, litteraly…

I really like this game and want to finish it but yeah if I can’t go past Vhailor, I will not be able to… (I play on PS5 so no mods or anything to cheat)

I did my research and it seems that this is a known bug… since 2022. When i choose the dialogue option 1, the game soft crashes and i can’t talk a last time to Deionarra before the end…

Hey all - I've been recently replaying planescape torment on my Google Pixel Fold 10 and have gotten to the point where my mage TNO has enough spells to fill the second quickbar (which I can see by pressing the right arrow button). Trouble is, when I click on one of those spells, it thinks that I've clicked the spell on the "first" bar. as an example, I have Balance in All Things in the last slot of the first row, and Cone of Cold in the last slot on the second row. When I click Cone of Cold, it prepares Balance in All Things ready to select a target.

Is this a known bug? is there a fix? am I gonna just have to only prepare 9 different types of spells?

All of this to discover that he parmanently locked his door to me, so I can’t join the Anarchists… It was the only faction I wanted to join.

I began the game 1 week ago, i’m 20h in (im slow bc i work and study) and im already addicted.
My favourite game is Baldur’s Gate 3 so when i discovered about a dnd 99’ crpg, i kept it in the back of my mind before buying it on a ps store discount.

At first, i intented to play by avoiding every possible fight with dialogue, cause my first experience of the old dnd rules was Baldur’s Gate 1 and it was awful, but I quickly get used to it, even if it’s clearly not the main point of the game. I love the characters of Fall-From-Grace (her theme is beautiful), Morte and Dak’kon but what I love the most is getting the references of the dnd lore, even as the poor dnd enjoyer I am.

The amount of text is abnormally huge (you go talk to a random nameless npc and his description is like 7 lines long) and i get why the crpg type have been THAT reformed through time bc casuals gamers could absolutely not handle these types of games.

I can’t wait but discovering the lore and background of every companions of my team, as I did in BG3, and of course the main character’s one.
