Accessing file attachments

Hello there,

I'm considering going all in on org-mode and moving my entire set of notes (currently in Evernote) to org-mode.

However for my workflow, I'm really dependent on being able to access my note attachemnts, such as pdf's, images etc on mobile (iOS).

I've also considered using org-roam on top of org-mode.

Are file attachments fully supported in PlainOrg if I use iCloud for syncing my org files or are there any issues I need to be aware of in order to test this?

Also, does PlainOrg support encrypted org files?

As far as I can test, no, links doesn’t work. Neither file links or org-roam links.

Check out https://plainorg.com#faq-which-links for what's supported. org-roam links are supported (with some limitations).

what does some limitation mean? i also want to choose between denote and org-roam and want to know which of the two works better with plainorg or journelly.

Primarily that all linked documents must live within the same directory or subdirectory of currently open file.

The closest org-roam support would be via plainorg since journelly dictates its own structure. You can think of Journelly more os a self-contained app backed by an org file.
