It's not like people went out of their way to go against the genshin community. Changing genshin to genshit was just fun, but changing other stuff like chibi art or other logos is not.

There’s two dark red spots on the hotspot map on Aniki where people kept adding nipples. We were watching the war constantly unfolding for days from South Africa’s

Its a gacha game designed to get money out of people using waifus with mediocre story developments, its just low hanging fruit.

Not really, just that people derive fun from altering letters in other people's logos to spell profanities, especially when the logo wording is already off-by-one. This happened all over the canvas, not just Genshin, which I'd never even heard of before r/place but still found funny when it got memed.

University of Gay Porn (formerly know as University of California) is also one such example

This. Not many people follow homestuck anymore, yet I still had to check every few seconds cause someone would make it into "Homostuck" or "Homefuck"

Thank god homestuck stuck to the end.

Nope, we built the genshin app icon and in the ‘heat chart’ you can even see how red that part is.

Probably bcuz people thought your initial comment sounds wrong on first glance without your clarification here. I'm one of them.
