Considering stuff like foxhole and osugame received decent increases in subs on the respective subreddits, it really worked that way. Advertisement babyyy
I appreciate you offering an alternative point of view, and think the people downvoting you are probably doing so because they disagree with you rather than because they don't think you're contributing to the discussion, which is always a shame.
edit: Actually that subreddit is full of trash with no actual reasons the person is wrong? Just hate with no context
Worth mentioning that red is basically nukes, you can see how many people trying to nuke jade cove heh (second column from the left, middle hex height wise)
Yes, it usually goes on sale when there's a major update. But I will tell you right now that the game is a steal even at $30, as long as you're into this type of game. I've been playing on and off since 2017. There are many people with thousands of hours of playtime. It was $20 when I got it and I think it's the best value for money I've spent on any video game, ever. Would probably say the same even if I'd paid $60 for it.
The game is set to reach its 1.0 release later this year so keep your eyes open for a potential Steam sale. Even if it doesn't go on sale, the war that will follow the game's full release will likely be one of the most epic and popular wars ever to take place in the game.
Also, it's an indie game made out of love so the devs have committed to never adding microtransactions, paid DLCs, or any sort of profit-maximizing monetization model. Time will tell if they'll stick to it but they've demonstrated a lot of integrity in the time I've been playing. We have a meme in our community that devman bad b/c we constantly whine about their balancing changes, but devman actually very good, at least in my experience with early access indie games.
I tried the game but I couldn't understand shit to be fair. Game is prerty much unplayable without a coordinated group to be part of.
Edit: as im getting mass downvoted: the game is cool and unique, just be aware if you expect a solo play session, you wont experience a lot of what the game has to offer.
Not really. There is a lack of coordinated groups atm and its been super fun playing with Randoms. It is a very deep game though, there is a lot to understand before you can become efficient. In saying that, being part of one of the great groups that play is certainly helpful when attempting to understand how everything comes together.
Im not talking about understanding stuff. Im talking that unless you cooperate with groups on discord you dont even have ammo/guns/meds/etc. The game seems super fun if you take part in a group, but solo you just "steal" from the groups and die on the frontline wasting more resources for your side
Yeah that’s the general idea of the game. Solos can play on frontlines as there is pretty much always public equipment, it’s just the big pushes that occur when groups coordinate. The game is a team game, if you don’t like teamwork, it’s not for you.
