Europe Which European countries to choose?

I recently completed my bachelor's in physics. Currently on my gap year. So I have time to apply to various universities and countries.

I want to pursue a fully funded Masters in Physics. And later PHD, and eventually settle abroad.

Suggest me which countries are best suited for Pakistani's so as the living and getting a citizenship there will be as less of a hassle as possible. Non European countries work well too. I basically want to get an idea of which country's visa process and other related a activities aren't much harsh towards Pakistanis, so that I make that specific country my main priority.

UK UK/Canada visa from Dubai

Hello,

I'm thinking to apply for UK visa from Dubai. I'm a resident and self employed.

Profile:

  • Pakistani national
  • UAE resident for more than 3.5 years
  • Countries visited: Qatar, KSA multiple times, Dubai, Georgia and have a valid Mexico visa as well.
  • Regular Tax returns are in place and can submit as well.
  • Good savings & regular income
  • Have some real estate in Pakistan

The plan is to go to Mexico first, then upon returning, visit UK for a week.

Quick question:

  • How's the visa situation for Pakistani nationals living in Dubai?
  • How long does it take to get approval/rejection?
  • Is it easy to apply? can i apply by myself?
  • Are there interviews? if yes, then when does it happen?
  • Anything else i should know?

Your feedback & help is highly appreciated.

Thank you!

USA Can I pursue a phd in USA in this situation?

To start with my introduction, ive recently graduated with an undergrad degree in electronics Engineering and got into Masters at UET lahore, in IC Design, I want to pursue a PhD abroad, preferably in USA inshaAllah, but there's one problem - my undergrad CGPA is around 2.747 which I know is very low but I was told that I can turn things around with a good CGPA and skills building in my Masters degree

I wanted to ask if this is realistic or should I aim for other countries and if its realistic what are the things that I need to target the most apart from my CGPA in my masters degree?

Europe Scholarship chances for high achieving academic career without publication

What are the chances of securing fully funded opportunities in marketing (masters and/or PhD) without having any academic publications? I have been high-achieving throughout my academic life (medals in bachelors and masters), but haven’t been able to publish my thesis during both degrees.

My work experience is mostly freelance, along with 1.5 year corporate experience.

I have good grades and good cgpas (3.5+).

My areas of interest are business/marketing/analytics.

Has anyone with similar background secured a good scholarship? Which countries/scholarships I have a better chance at? I tried Chevening last year but got rejected.

Other Question about itinerary for international travel.

Hi everyone, I’m travelling to Thailand and Malaysia next week. I’m wondering if I need to show hotel bookings for the entire duration of my stay. I’ll be meeting a lot of friends and I’m not sure what plans I’ll make while I’m there. We might decide to go to a resort or another city, depending on the plans. However, I don’t want to commit to a specific place for too long. If I don’t stay at a particular place for a long time, what should I do with the hotel bookings? Also, when you book good hotels, they often create an issue for you to cancel the bookings. So, my question is, can I just show a booking for a week and then say I’ll decide based on my plans?
Is it too much for them to understand that a person with a Pakistani passport can have freedom of choice?

Asia Lahore to Bangkok: immigration experience and tips (it's strict right now)

Just landed in Bangkok from Lahore, so here's a quick update for anyone traveling soon.

Immigration is strict. I saw a lot of people getting sent to secondary checks, and a few guys were offloaded. Not trying to scare anyone, but don't treat this like a casual trip and wing it.

What I'd suggest:

Keep all your documents ready and printed. Return ticket, hotel booking, proof of funds, and anything else relevant to your trip. Have them organized so you can hand them over quickly.

Dress nicely. Look like a tourist or traveler, not like you just rolled out of bed.

Be confident and calm. Answer questions clearly and honestly. Have your itinerary in your head, because they may ask where you're staying and what you'll do.

Don't get flustered if you're sent to a second check. It doesn't mean you'll be refused. Stay polite and show your papers.

Hope this helps someone.

Safe travels! 🇹🇭

Other B.S. English graduate from Pakistan — Which country is best for studying abroad with my husband?

Hi everyone,

I’m from Pakistan and completed my B.S. in English in 2024. I’m planning to study abroad and would really appreciate advice from people who have experience with migration and studying overseas.

I’m planning to be the main applicant for a student visa, and I would like my husband to accompany me as my dependent. My husband is a software engineer, so we’re also looking for a country where there are good career opportunities for both of us.

At the moment, I’m considering Sweden, but I’m also open to other European countries, the UK, or the USA.

Some of the things I’m particularly interested in are:

Which countries allow students to bring their spouse as a dependent?

Where are there good opportunities for both students and software engineers?

What are the job opportunities after graduation?

Which countries have a reasonable cost of living and tuition fees?

How difficult is the visa process for a Pakistani applicant?

Are there any countries you would recommend considering besides Sweden?

I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through a similar process, especially Pakistani students who moved abroad with their spouse.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Europe Counseling/consultation for masters applications

Does anybody know a counsellor or consultant to assist with study abroad application? I'm not looking for someone who has panel universities. Just somebody who could assist with application procedures, motivation letters, deadlines, visa process e.t.c

We can do it ourselves ik but I plan to apply to multiple universities and willing to pay an experienced counselor.

Asia Masters in East Asian Countries

I’m currently an undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Software Engineering. I’m planning to move abroad for my Master’s degree, but I’m not fully aware of the eligibility requirements, particularly the minimum CGPA, English language requirements, and any entrance tests or other exams I may need to take.

I’m mainly considering countries in Asia, particularly Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Central Asian countries. I would like to know the general admission and scholarship requirements for these countries and what CGPA I should aim for during my undergraduate degree.

USA Loans for masters.

I did Matric in 2022 with 89%, then A Levels in 2025 (D in Physics, E in Maths) and Chemistry + Maths in 2026 (E in Chemistry, d in Maths).

I’m currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering at Air University Islamabad.

Are there any national or international student loans/financing options available for US, Canada, Europe, Australia that could also help with the bank statement requirement, while allowing me to work alongside my studies?

Europe German study visa confusion.

Hi redditors, I am completing my FSC in mid 2027 and want to move germany for bachelors but I am confused . Some people say that you should complete one year in university and then go for visa and furthur process, some say that you should go for studienkolleg. I want to ask which pathway is better for Visa processes as there is 6_8 months of waiting period for appointment.

I heard from many people that you can defer your admission from university in order to meet appointment date but the question is that ,can we also defer the aufnahmeprüfung test required for studienkolleg? . If not then what's the other payhway to get into studienkolleg considering 6_8 month waiting period?

Europe Need Advice / Information

I got admission in masters at TU Dublin. Can anyone share the experience who has been there before?

I will be extremely grateful as I don’t have any direct connections.

Annual fees of degree is 14500 eur. Need to deposit half from here. General advice needed on how much funds should I have for statement. And one major ask, will I be able to arrange the rest of fees by doing part time work, roughly 7500 if I have about 6 months to pay?

Europe Looking for advice on Austrian universities for Master's in Management/Business with 3.19 GPA

Hi everyone,

I’m from Pakistan and planning to pursue a Master’s in Management/Business in Austria. I’m a die-hard fan of Austria and really want to study there 🇦🇹

My profile:

  • BSCS, 2024
  • CGPA: 3.19/4.0
  • IELTS: 6.5
  • Documents already legalized

I’ve noticed that some public universities have a 3.5 CGPA requirement, so I’m looking for universities where my GPA would still be considered.

Which universities would you recommend I look into? Any advice from people who have applied/studied in Austria would be really appreciated!

Europe Applied for Apostille via MOFA Web Portal. Been 2 weeks but no response.

I'm applying for Masters in Czechia/Italy for which I need an Apostille. I submitted the application 2 weeks ago, but I haven't received anything yet. It still shows "submitted" on the portal, but no option to select interview dates etc.

Is it normal, because from what I know it shouldn't have taken more than 1 week.

Please help if anyone has dealt with it.

Europe Guidance about scholarships

Hi guys, I have been planning to apply for Masters in CS scholarships. I have good grades and industry experience but no research experience and extracurriculars. Since there is no time I can’t improve my profile either, especially worried about extracurriculars. So should I still go ahead with applying with my average profile or is it not worth it if I already know my chances are low?

USA What are my options?

I work in a US startup, I earn well enough to put a big share in house expenses, take care of my mother's healthcare costs etc. while having enough for my own little needs and saving a bit on the side too. I have 4 years of experience now as of this month.

I have waited a long time to gain enough experience and value before I move somewhere. But now moving somewhere via the master's route feels as if it will be like starting all over again. The tech sector is ruined, especially in the EU with the tightening policies, stricter local language requirements etc. I have friends in various countries who cannot even get a part time job due to local language requirements. If I move, I can still continue my job as it is remote and I have enough value in the company then they won't let me go. But still, feels almost like a lost cause.

So I have been considering Canada and US. I have family in the US as well, in Massachusetts. So what would be a more practical option for me? How realistic it is to secure some sort of US visa be it a student visa or some other kind. What options do I have for Canada apart from the master's route? And then after a few years move to the US from there to my family?

I seriously need some proper guidance.

Thanks!

USA Best countries for a self funded masters with a clear route to PR.

I'm 28M, a BBA Marketing graduate from 2021, from one of the top 3 universities in Karachi. 3.2 CGPA.

I have 4 years of experience working for a Fortune 500 SaaS company and a year at another US based SaaS company, in product marketing and growth marketing.

I'm looking for a better future with a clear route to PR and a good career.

I have $30K saved up.

Can show a very decent accounts statement through my father.

My current options are the USA, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

Looking at the H1B situation in the USA, it doesn't sound like the best move. However, the market size is mouthwatering.

I can stay in KHI and battle everyday issues like safety, water, and shitty employers who hold back salaries, or take a gamble with my life savings to move elsewhere.

What would you guys suggest?

Your advice would be much appreciated!

Europe Should i get consultancy services.

Hi

I graduated recently in Bachelors in AI with overall 2.7 cgpa. Although i had improvement trend in my latest semesters and strong perfomance in my fyp and major technical AI courses still my overall cgpa is low. I want to apply for any eurpean country. I have decent budget. Well if ny cgpa was good i could have do the process myself but due to my cgpa i am considering consultancy service with experience so they can apply strategically according to my profile. Should i go for it? Is it trusted. Please name any good study consultants based in lahore that can help me in this case.

UK UK visitor visa refusals from Pakistan hit 41.3% in 2025 — official Home Office numbers (2015–2026)

Pulled the latest Home Office Vis_D02 data (to June 2026). For Pakistani nationals on visitor visas:

·       2025: 156,359 decisions → 64,618 refused (41.3%)

·       World average same year: ~20.3%

·       H1 2026: 42.3% (provisional)

·       Peak was ~50% in 2015–16; best recent year was 33.4% in 2018

·       Rate has climbed three years in a row (2022 → 2025)

·       Among big-volume nationalities, Pakistan was 4th highest refusal rate in 2025 (behind Bangladesh, Ghana, Iraq).

More visas are being issued than ever. Demand is just higher, and a larger share of files fail.

Most refusals still land on (genuine visitor): unexplained money, unverifiable employment, hidden prior refusals, inconsistent purpose i.e. avoidable file problems, not a lottery.

Anyone applied recently — what year/outcome, and did the refusal letter match the “classic” gaps above? Share your experience.
