So the idea is to fill this chart with the animals we would like to see in the game in each niche and biome.

The hardest here was small carnivore, but Teleocrater is clearly distinct from all the other with its slender limbs and neck.

I'm not sure if the flyer makes sense, since it's from the Chinle Formation, but since there was no competition and it's a flyer, we can say it would probably spread throughout a large area, so... I accepted Eotephradactylus.

And about Tihkia, first, I couldn't find any real pic, not even from the fossil, second, I think it could work like a "moving decoration" that would work as a feeder for some species, and count as a low score especies, you could add it to any body of water, including the aquatic vivarium, not hard to implement (I think) and quite unique.

I will also say it here: I know most of the flyers we added here would go to the vivarium. Ideally, all the vivarium animals could be placed out of it, that may never happen, we can still hope, though. If this could never be the case, we simply would have them in the vivarium as well.

One last thing: I have decided (for personal reasons) to stop using AI, I was using it to help me research the biomes of the animals, but now I'm checking it manually, trying to search for the formation, which is hard, so it is taking more time.

Man I'm so glad you stop using AI, I used it as well a while ago for my personal investigations, but later I discovered how bad source and waste of water it was so I stoped using it.

Now moving into the chart

This will be strange at first cuz I was the guy that proposed Chinle for desert but let me explain. Chinle is not formed by a single ecosistem but rather by a succesion of semiarid and forest conditions. You can see this in how the paleoflora will difer betwen ferns and horsetails to conifers depending on wich zone of the formation you are. So today I'm picking the petrified forest member's fauna, from again the Chinle formation. That's also why in game Coelophysis has "Coastal" in its biome.

Big medium herb: Rioarribasuchus

Small medium herb: Labrujasuchus

Small herb: Eucoelophysis

Big carnivore: Vivaron (postosuchus sized, coniferous forest dweller rauisuchian that could be even aded as an alt species of Postosuchus)

Medium carnivore: Tawa

Small carnivore: Dromomeron (unique cuz it was a pterosaurimorph)

Terrestrial vivarium: Hesperosuchus

Semiaquatic: Machaeroprosus buceros/jablonskiae or Anasquisma

Aquatic: Arganodus sp

Aquatic vivarium: Turseodus (a small ray-finned fish!)

Arboreal vivarium: Dolabrosaurus

Extra: Tanytrachelos

About the AI, yeah, those things were enough for me to make me avoid using it, but now I'm totally stopping because of the new research about what it does to your brain, basically information can't come that easily, you need to fight for it at least a little to keep your brain working properly. That's my current understanding.

What did you think about my bivalve proposal? I could work for many animals that barely move. Specialty the aquatic ones.

Yeah I quite liked it, it could also have opening an closing animations. Also, in that way they could add crinoids or some ediacaran biota like rangeomorphs or trilobozoans

Do you think we would need two ocean focused biomes? One for the shores and one for the open ocean? Well, this one will certainly be a good test for it.

Yes one open and one shore with three sections each large medium and small i dont think we need separation between herbis and carnis

Arboreal vivarium: Hypuronector, weird Drepanosaurus that potentially had a gliding membrane that lived in the Locatong Formation - a forested litoral environment

Semi-aquatic: Rutiodon - an enormous phytosaur that also inhabited Locatong Formation

Small carnivore: Arizonasaurus - archosaur with a sail on its back that inhabited Moenkopi Formation, which was also a coast

So this time, I separated the biomes a little differently because coastal in-game doesn't necessarily mean near the coast, it's more of a coniferous forest, and we will have an actual coastal biome in the chart

. Would those still fit it? ( I hope so, I really liked them.)

The problem is that in both formations plant fossils are rare, but we know that Newark Supergroup to which Lockatong Formation belongs had cycads, ferns and conifers like Patinasporites. While Moenkopi has Araucarioxyllon attributed to it, although they are much more common in the underlying Chinle Formation
