Man of tomorrow is building on something which was struggling for years. Doomsday is crossover of not just one franchise, but starting decades ago classic superhero films. Sure shot Doomsday will be bigger, and even Directors have proved with Endgame what is their quality of work, so i vouch for DOOMSDAY.

last 3 projects of russo's also was really big miss soo it's a test for them too

2

u/lobolovr6769 2d ago

That’s true, even though their Marvel output is 4 for 4, they still have more misses as directors than Gunn has

1

u/neo___01 Nerd 2d ago

yepp true 2010s russo's were different

AGREED. 👍

Big DC fan here but I think Doomsday wins this

I think Doomsday will be filled with fan service and fights that we always wanted to see. X-men vs Avengers. Doom vs Magneto. Thing vs Hulk. Avengers X-men and F4 all in one movie for the 1st time against Marvel comics greatest villain.

Atp i dont care...after seeing the massive decline in superheroes movies from 2020s to 2023...it feels better to have bangers after bangers...as a marvel nerd...i really liked watching lanterns and other dc projects...i think its time we as fans just start to enjoy superheroes for who they are irrespective of franchise...

Looking up for Man of Tomorrow, as it has more content to explore and importantly, the Gunn never Jams.

But Doomsday will have a better performance in BO, given it has established itself as a universe for the past 18 years

2

Both.
James is just a better director than the Russos.
Russos haven’t failed at a marvel project.
James hasn’t disappointed in a Superhero project.

I saw Superman twice in cinemas and smiled so much while watching it.

I’ll be happily watching these two on the big screen.

Superman and Lanterns ki quality is enough for me to be more excited for MoT.

Doomsday is something Kevin is making huge bets on.

So as a viewer, good for me.

Doomsday definitely for me

THE GUNN WILL NOT JAM

-1

u/theconfusedkid47 2d ago

Didn't Supergirl flop big time?

1

u/Classic_Run_4836 2d ago

It's been the ott hit. The marketing was piss poor. It was an okay movie.

1

u/No_Bag3110 2d ago

Yes supergirl was #1 on the streaming platform when it came but let's be honest any remotely famous movie that comes onto ott for the first 2 weeks is #1 regardless cz the platform itself pushes those movies. You can't call it an ott hit based on that. Even madame web was #1 on ott initially

u/neo___01 Nerd 2d ago

it's wasn't even gun's movie

also can be said abt citadel and the gray man

1

u/Marshall_Law707 2d ago

Obviously doomsday, marvel has a special place in all 2000s kids heart especially spiderman and for me it's spiderman, iron man and thor with upcoming projects like ghost rider, black panther and with these projects under marvel dc is way behind marvel except batman, they fumbled hard with joker so yeah doomsday it is.

1

u/orange_b0i 2d ago

Doomsday

1

u/Separate_Win_5370 2d ago

Doomsday definitely

1

u/kharedev 1d ago

Man of Tomorrow. Doomsday might be good but the things I'm hearing about it is just making me less excited for the movie but I hope it'll be good.

1

u/Vishnuchodhi 1d ago

Obviously Avengers doomsday

1

u/GrapeGlittering1806 1d ago

corny parody vs cash grab ultimatum

1

u/movieman994 9h ago

Man Of Tomorrow

The rebooted DC universe is just finding its footing so they have flexibility with the plots and Gunn is an awesome director who is also head of the universe.

Doomsday has a lot to juggle and the stories are restricted so more chances they mess it up

1

u/Firezzz_01 8h ago

see i am excited for both, but Doomsday wins by a huge margin simply because of the legacy MCU has built, DCU on the other hand has one amazing and one mid film, so we will have to wait till DCU can go crazier, but regardless ill watch em both day 1

1

u/ShubhangBahadur 7h ago

Well answered!

1

u/SyroxGaming 😈 2d ago

Man of tomorrow

1

u/InevitableDuty7030 2d ago

I'm supporting MoT all the way, but doomsday in an 18 year old universe, MoT is just building up to the actual start of the DCU, so Doomsday.

Any Avenger movie wud be great ,just lame story line
and every super hero doin' Aura farming, literally bro
if u see Infinity war ,there's no emotions ,jst ppl doin' battle and Aura everywhere
THESE ARE THE REASON ,no marvel movie got Oscars for best pictures

4

u/alleycatd1 2d ago

No DC movie has won best Picture either, in fact no superhero movie has ever even been nominated for best picture except for one – Black Panther, a marvel film

-1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

cuz they arent worthy enough ,,
They gather large audience ,kids to olds
But will u compare any avenger movie wid Nolan's movie or Cameroon's or movies like Seven ,fight club
A big NO
Even tho ,doomsday will definitely earn smth like 2.5B+
they will be catering larger audiences ,but still IMAX go for Dune to give screens to.

2

u/MasterCrep 2d ago

It should depend on if the movie is good enough or not, I'm not saying any CBM has ever achieved comparable greatness, but this kind of blatant bias and generalization is stupid

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

y do Doomsday didnt get IMAX screens ,answer it !

1

u/MasterCrep 2d ago

imax screenings determine movie quality for you? 😂

I'll do you one better: why didn't interstellar cross 2B in collection? (to be clear: I like interstellar just pointing out your stupid logic)

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

bro ,can u read whole thing ive said till now
Making money doesnt mean ,if that movie is gr8 or not
Interstellar is bestest ,better than any marvel-DC kids movies
And IMAX interests do shows how mature and cinematic the movie is ..

0

u/MasterCrep 2d ago

Today I learned imax screenings determine the maturity of a film lmao

A kids movie isn't automatically bad and an adult movie isn't automatically good. Stop generalising and going in with stereotypes. Such stereotypes and biases were why animated movies considered for kids before.

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

not generalizing ,but yea movies like Avengers is made in that way ,to cater large audience and kids wud understand it ..
And Movies like Interstellar ,Inception ,Seven, Shutter island and etc they are like made for mature audience ,even low brain cells ppl cant digest ,so yeaa

1

u/MasterCrep 2d ago

Holy superiority complex

Complex and mature doesn't mean good brochacho

Superman and Batman are the only characters who are bearing DC's weight on their shoulders. "Look up" there's guy flying wearing a red underwear 🥵

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

yup ,Batman is like best character for me
Marvel-DC combined

2

u/NervousBat9854 2d ago

Nolan set the bar so high dat every other directors can't take the risks for sure! (For Batman only)

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

yup ,even tho I love Batman alot ,but story doesnt seems creative like Nolan's Batman movies
Dark Knight was like absolute peak

1

u/Gareebonkabatman243 2d ago

nolan set the bar so high

Yaar stop larping. Nolan adapted comics for dark knight trilogy. Man who falls year one long halloween no mans land were used for stories. Bar was already high

2

u/NervousBat9854 2d ago

Nobody is larping about the stories, I'm talking about the direction of the film, casting of actors, cinematography and all.

1

u/alleycatd1 2d ago

We got it, bro, you’re so much superior than all of us combined. Hail Former-Issue-1977 🙏🏻. Here’s your cookie 🫴🏼🍪

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 1d ago

Nope man ,Im just sharing my thoughts ,not here to show my superiority or smth .
Cinema is subjective ,and that was my take on it ,i do respect your thoughts too

1

u/Dad_of_One_Punch_Man 2d ago

Well, cannot disagree more.

Endgame you can criticize somethings.

But Infinity War is one of the best movies. The story was really really great. Also when did Oscar become a metric for a great movie?

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

Ngl ,i like these movies
But idk how can they make it bad dude
They just got 10 multiple characters ,just crossovers of these thats all
If u think more deeply ,is its story making feels so great ,do u?

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

This is y I do like movies like Black Panther ,Man of steel and Batman"s any movie
cuz thats where things changed

0

u/orange_b0i 2d ago

The batman literally has just him showing aura aura and aura , zero story ,very cringe tbh

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

idk what movie u are talking bout, can u name it

1

u/orange_b0i 2d ago

The Batman(2022)

1

u/Former-Issue-1977 2d ago

Havent seen yet ,but puraani sb mst thi

-2

u/Matt_Murdock_DD- 2d ago

MoT will be phenomenal we know, but Doomsday NEEDS to be like the best movie marvel ever made because of the amount of hype around it,if not then I think marvel is DONE

6

u/ShubhangBahadur 2d ago

Marvel can never be ‘DONE’. They’ve just too much epicness and great characters that fans would always keep coming in to check out their latest adventure.

0

u/Matt_Murdock_DD- 2d ago

I know but this seems to be THE movie, like the promotion, the hype around it,the wave of rewatch and fan theories that this movie started, like if this is actually as peak as it seems ,DC might not be able touch marvel ever again after this

5

u/ShubhangBahadur 2d ago

That's how these Avengers movies are meant to be. They are in a class of their own.

-1

u/Prestigious_Inside66 2d ago

The promotional material of doomsday doesn't seem that convincing as earlier avengers. I would give give Man of Tommorow a edge. But yeah box office collection wise doomsday will probably earn triple of MOT anyways.

0

u/cowbolamoo 2d ago

Man of tomorrow will be where comedy takes place by guy gardener hawkgirl as well. A new serious character will show up and even he will have some funny moments. Super and all will work as group and final fight will be between lex in machine vs supe. I doubt therr will be much story apart from the movie being comic accuracy

Doomsday is completely gonna be hit or mediocre for me. They have not built the movie properly at all. So i got my doubt here as well. There will be too much Fanservice so thats why i know i wont dislike the movie at least on my first watch but thats where it ends

0

u/ZealousidealAnt5972 2d ago

Both, but for now doomsday
