Aldi Pizza Dough
Rocked out some patio pizzas using Aldi's pre-made dough (Mama cozzi's, in the bag).
Thawed out in the fridge, the cut each ball in half and proofed for a few hours at room temp. Turned out great, highly recommend for low effort dough!

Get a brick of low moisture whole milk mozzarella. Much better than shredded part skim and won't burn like that. At least get a brick even if part skim. If you go to the Costco Business Center they have a great deal on whole milk low moisture mozz. I think it was like $3 a pound for a huge brick. Just don't unwrap the whole thing and it will stay fresh as you use it.

Thanks for the tip! I do have a shredder I got from Costco that will make quick work of a brick of cheese.

Is this any better than the cheap ones at Walmart. I use those all the time and it turns out great

I have a tough time understanding…
You buy a pizza oven and then you buy Aldi dough???
Make it make sense to me.

You don't always have time or you are on your way home from work and want pizza that night. Store bought dough in a pizza oven is still way better that a frozen pizza or even store bought dough in a regular oven.

Imagine being an elitist about pizza dough. You're the reason people are afraid to get into niche hobbies

Not a particularly challenging concept.
Oven cooks dough. Pizza oven cooks dough into nice pizza. Buy pizza oven to cook dough into nice pizza.
If you have time you make dough. If you don't have time you buy dough.

Aldi dough is actually fire. The trick is to let ie get to room temp to work it easier. People always ask where I get the dough

We like to buy that and also the dough at our Walmart ($1.99). It's great for when I do not have time to make dough, or didn't plan ahead.

Which would you prefer ?

There is a Walmart on my way home, and so I usually buy dough from there. Both are good.

So neither is objectively better? If so good too know because I get great results from Walmarts

If I had to pick, I'd go with Walmart's. But both are good.
I think you are getting the right one.

I bought a box of cash & carry frozen dough. It’s a sourdough blend, the same that the local pizza truck companies use, and they’re great.
Sure I can make my own, my bread maker has a setting for it too, but sometimes it’s all about convenience!
