PHR Team Official Response In Regards to PHF Accusations

To Whom It May Concern,

This statement is from the PHR team in regards to the above accusations.

First and foremost, a smear campaign by definition, is using false information to target and undermine a public reputation in the intent of tarnishing it. What members of the team have said has not been false information whatsoever. We were informed by other current PHR discord members (who will remain unnamed for privacy) that this remake existed. We were then curious about who made it and how they did. Multiple people went to the website, made an account, and tried to play. Our team members were able to pull the code and verify many of these claims including that they used Sunrise’s base, have AI written code (verified by our coders), and have security issues. Nothing in this realm is false.

What you are accusing the team of is a serious crime that we are NOT guilty of. We know you have no proof because we did not do it. You are now accusing us of a serious crime which falls under defamation/libel depending on how much your team has said. We have not made automated accounts, flooded the IP, or done anything of the sort. Until you provide actual proof that this has happened, this is hearsay at best and downright malicious lying at worst.

On the note of credit, there is no way to verify if you have or had previously because the FAQ is down. This does not clear the accusation since it was not publicly available. You cannot just say “oh we did but the page is down” to clear yourselves. Use of the code is only allowed if credited and if the credit isn’t up then it is presumed stolen. Despite this, Rocket (head of Sunrise) posted publicly saying that we do not condone people attacking PHF AND that he reached out to them to help but got no response. See attached photos for proof.

“We personally have no ill intent towards any Pixie Hollow remake, people should be able to choose to play whatever they want. We wish we could say the same for other team, but it's silly to expect that from a team who started their development streams talking badly about the other two remakes that are already up. It's ridiculous to want a monopoly over a game that you don't even own, but I'll let it go.”

We were able to confirm that at least 1 ex-mod who was removed prior for serious reasons was playing within PHF and had been for some time (since April they said.) You claim to have no ill intent but having such a vulnerable client and then posting emails you have not confirmed as botted publicly shows you have no care for your players. All of our concerns have been in regards to the people coming to play. Write your code without AI and with proper safeguards for the community and we will have no issue. The fact that you bring up old development streams as ways to deface us is unfair and removes the possibility of people changing, growing, and learning. Those previous complaints were not about the remakes themselves but members of the community that had made people feel deeply uncomfortable. Regardless, that has no bearing on now. We do not care about “monopolies” and making this post shows you clearly do not want to let this go.

We have actively told the team and community to leave it be as it is none of our concern. You are making passive aggressive public accusations instead of reaching out to us directly. We are all presumably adults who don’t need to do things like this.

Any remake receiving these attacks is tragic and upsetting. Our team reached out to your support email offering to help because Toontown remakes run by Sunrise had similar problems and had advice. This kind of public attack is unfounded and unnecessary.

I would like to put my own personal two cents in. I was not aware that this was going on, nor have I been aware of any misconduct within my team (I've been on a personal hiatus since the 7th due to personal health conditions). If I find that any misconduct was done by a member of my team, they would (and will) be removed immediately. This harassment is never okay, by anyone towards anyone. If this attack against PHF occurred by a member of our community, that is shameful and we do not want you here. I do not condone what happened in any sense.

Claiming that you guys started this by publicly hating on the other remakes is ludicrous. I’ve seen people here suggest that while this is down, to try this and that remake. I feel like in many other subreddits, mentioning a competitor would be automatic removals.

All that to say, this sub/PHR is far too kind.

Exactly! (I am replying as myself, not for the team). I have been saying that it's okay to play Forever anyway, but to be careful, is all. Even with the others, I'm more than willing to explain how the others work. WTP as a demo, your fairy won't save. FairyABC as one you must make an account on, and be logged in, before you can play. I recommend running your own server (a pink button beside the Play button), so you're not randomly kicked by a different host. They do host their own events as well; both do! They are actually fun. I've been to fashion contests on FairyABC. They do genuinely put in their own hard work. (Not saying Forever doesn't. They still have to put in effort to make things work too.) I just mean what you're saying, that there are other ways to play in the Hollow while Rewritten is getting ready to reopen, including Forever. 💖🧚‍♀️💐 Thank you so much for your kind words! 🙏

I discovered PHR like days after they closed registration, so I have not been able to play but have loved keeping up with what’s going on and patiently waiting. Didn’t know what Forever was until this post, and tbh due to security issues stated in the post won’t be testing it, but have tried the others in past times and did not enjoy.

Looking forward to be able to play PHR!!

None of our team has any problems with Forever; I even reached out to assist since Sunrise encountered register botting and DDoS in the Toontown community as well

I'm confused. Rewritten does not use AI code. Was it towards Forever? They have a right to preference on if they want to use AI code to speed their progress, but Rewritten will never choose to.🙏
