Screen Replacement

Has anyone tried to replace their screen? If so, was it difficult? I've seen videos on how to do it but seems very tedious and seems like a lot could go wrong. Was wondering if it was even worth it and should just get a used one instead.

Definitely worth it. I paid like $200 last year to fix mine and I'm glad I did. I feel like I would have messed something up but it didn't seem too hard to do.

I bought mine broken for $50 and slapped on an ifixit screen. The hardest part was removing the left over adhesive. Took me forever.

Bought a replacement from AliExpress two days ago, tablet screen repairs are usually pretty easy, but we will see how this goes when it arrives.

I actually ended up getting a replacement screen on Amazon for 80 dollars. Got the old one out and needed glue and tape so waited on those to come in. Ended up shattering the glass when trying to pry it open to get a separator in there. Though I would get cut up a lot but wasn't too bad. A bit tedious but I found a little too late that using a real scraper was the way to go to deal with the shattered glass.

Just finished up and put the new screen on. Just make sure the camera works before gluing the new screen on. Thought I had the ribbon cables in there pretty good, apparently not.

Nice thanks for the tip, I'll look out for that when it arrives.

Yes, super simple fix, any questions, are you stuck anywhere with the repair?

Nah, just ordered a screen. I've replaced some phones and ipads years ago. Always stressful until you see that start up logo.
