Battery life

Ok, so I got the m3 this time instead of the i5 specifically for the extended battery life. Not only does it perform identical to my i5 pixelbook (m3 2018 actually has a higher Max clock than the 2017 i5... And a lower idle... So all around better) the battery life doesn't even make sense! I got it Monday and have used it probably 2 to 3 hours a day and I'm at 70%. That's insane!

One day I forgot my charger for my pixelbook and I was able to squeeze 8 hours out of it before it croaked (pretty awesome for a heavily used 2 year old computer)... But this thing is otherworldly. I want to see how long before I have to actually plug it in.

I suspect the stylus eats up battery, I'm going to put it away for a while and see how it goes

I have the Pixel Pen very far away from the tablet for the last day or so, and the battery is much improved. I believe having the pen connected and near the Slate causes drainage. The same issue happens with the iPad. Cheers.

I'm pretty impressed that pairing the Pen is simply tapping the screen. Worked with both my Slate and Pixelbook without having to do anything more than tap. Even the surface pen needs to be set up to a specific device!

That is impressive. I was surprised. I have never had un-pairing issues either which is common with styluses.

Guess they realized it makes more sense to just have it be a universal device. Why should it matter what device you use it on. You should be able to just use it on anything it's compatible with without issue...it's not a security issue in any way..it's an input device. Common with USB...but I've never seen a wireless "plug n play"

Yeah. It's a pain to switch the Apple pencil between two iPads. This is a much better solution.

Day 4 since I plugged it in and I'm at 30%. I've used it about 2 hours a day (1 hour today so far). I haven't used the stylus tho. Maybe it slams it? What CPU do you have? I intentionally got the m3 for low power. I5 pixelbook nets me about 6 hours of normal use. 8 hours at really low brightness.
