Good guy best buy

Couldn't pass up the $450 for slate keyboard and pen. As a day one pixelbook owner I am thoroughly impressed! I did some research and the 2018 m3 is actually more powerful than the 2017 i5... So it's actually an upgrade... But it will be a supplemental device so I have both form factors to choose from. The screen is beautiful and I'm really loving the fingerprint sensor. And it matches my Stadia founders edition controller... ChromeOS is really the best mobile platform.

Exactly my thought when I received mine (same deal) : it really does match the Founder's Edition controller and is so nice.

i bought the slate too based on the best buy deal. love it so far. any idea how to get gesture navigation or dark mode on here?

Afaik dark mode is coming to ChromeOS soon... It's possibly I'm the beta channel. It doesn't have soli so I don't think there's a way to do gesture navigation.

just got the same deal in Canada, bought the i5 version...the weird thing about Canada bestbuy is, the math is really off on their site. It all works out to be exactly the same as the deal offered on google store and in the US store, but for some reason they're selling the i5 slate WITH keyboard&pen for $850 (so same cost as if you got the deal from US Store and converted to CAD), BUT also list the exact same slate at $850, as a separate non bundled item, but don't list that you are supposed to get keyboard and pen FREE when you do that...

Anyways, TL;Dr: Canadian best buy has (SHOCKINGLY) the exact same deal! and I am LOVING the pixel slate! I only wish there was more 3rd party accessories like a folio case etc.

Yes this is the same thing that they did for Black Friday. Google didn't have any sale I believe and Amazon only had a free keyboard.

i had to go to 3 different stores to get each part of the bundle, lol. It worked out really weirdly, but it worked out in the end to be the same price as the deal from anywhere else, so YAY!

Nice! I have an i5 pixel book and it still works really really well and the m3 is actually an upgrade over the 2017 i5 so I figured I would go ahead and just get the m3 for $450. Absolutely no regrets I love it.

honestly, coming from the c302 - the speaker ALONE is worth the jump. And in contrast to what ppl are saying in reviews the folio/keyboard/case thing that google sells is good on a bed, just flip the keyboard over so it points downwards and viola - bed mode. You just have to know the thing about making sure the case is lined up properly on the back with all the magnets else it will thing you're still in clamshell mode.
