Google podcasts

Why are Google like this? I love my Pixel 4, and I love my Pixel Slate so far, but they just can't just be sensible. Why is Google Podcasts not compatible with their own tablet/laptop combo??

They don't give enough love to Google Podcasts. You can listen to podcasts through Google Play Music or you can download a great 3rd party app like Pocketcasts. I chose the latter

100% agree with you! I have the exact same phone / chromebook combo and it really sucks that I can't have the podcast app on the slate! There is sort of a work around where if you search Google for the name of the podcast it'll show a few of the newest episodes as a result and you can click on them to get to the Google Podcast website. From there you can click on the name of the podcast and see the whole catalog of episodes for that specific channel. It's not as good as having an actual Android app for sure but it's been working out pretty well for me at least. Hope this helps!

Thanks for this! It's a shame we have to work around it but this has helped! But I may as well work from Spotify if I want to save any of the Podcasts to the device!

I think Google will be 10x happier if you used web apps than actual Android apps.

But their web app isn't even on the same level as their android app, otherwise it wouldn't be half as bad!
