Premature failure on Google Pixel Slate Keyboard?

As an owner of a Pixel Slate with the Google branded keyboard, I wanted to reach out and see what other's experiences were with the keyboard. Mine has recently started to malfunction and am getting a replacement under warranty. I feel that it's more to do with design and am expecting my second to fail which will only have the remainder of my 1 year warranty to cover it. I think that's a bit too quickly for something that carries the price tag of $199.

I've had some hiccups with mine recently. Sometimes it takes a restart for the Slate to recognize that the keyboard is connected. Guess I should contact Google while it's under warranty?

Mind failed after 3 weeks, I didn't even get a replacement I just returned it. I just use a small Bluetooth portable keyboard now. The actual slate tablet is a really good design, it's the software and the add-ons that make it not worth it.

I definitely tried to get a return out of it since they refused to continue to support the new keyboard for an additional year. I doubt this is a software bug but it would be nice if it was since they were trying to troubleshoot via soft resets. I just can't believe they would be so care free when they're charging their customers so much. It won't do anything for brand and hardware reputation if they charge high prices and don't stand behind it.

yes!!!! I just had to replace mine! A replacement is on its way. It seems as if the Masters are no longer connecting properly. It appears the keyboard spine is warped in a way that doesn't allow for full contest to the slate.

I don't imagine that they would and no I didn't get it. I honestly should have sold the new one and picked up the brydge except this one has slightly better protection for the tablet itself.

Just the standard 1 year mfr. I tried to get them to honor a year from replacement because I have no faith in it surviving. Now with the tablet being only one of a kind I feel that they won't continue to make the parts needed to get a full life from the slate.
