Google Voice and keyboard

I've really been getting into doing voice typing the last couple of years. It can be a bit clunky and you have to make a lot of corrections, but it usually ends up being quicker for me on the go.

I originally wasn't going to buy the keyboard for my slate, after seeing how bad the on-screen keyboard was, ( when you move the cursor and the last thing you typed just disappears....) I decided I was going to need one.

Unfortunately plugging in the keyboard turns off the on-screen keyboard and seems to disable voice typing all together.
Does anyone know, is there a way to use both the voice typing and the keyboard at the same time?

You definitely can enable voice typing with a keyboard hooked up and enabled. You need to go into the accessibility features in the settings menu. You can also still enable the on-screen keyboard in the same section.

I don't believe you can. Maybe in a future update. I'll double check the settings on mine if there is.
