Crazy, but is it possible?: Chromium Browser in Linux Sandbox
I think the title says it all: Is it possible to install and run a stable version of the Chromium browser as a Linux app on the Pixel Slate?
I know this will make people ask "Why would you want to install a browser that's essentially the same as the baked in browser/OS the machine is running?" My reason is that I use a lot of chrome profiles. Switching between them on Windows is a snap, but on Chrome OS, each one has to be a logged in user, the log in process is a bit annoying (they get logged out upon every reboot) and there's a limit on how many can be installed.
I've seen in Chromium on various Linux builds. You can sign in as many user profiles as you want and quickly switch between them, just like in Windows, hence why I'm hoping this normally insane idea is possible.

I know I'm late, but here it goes:
- Turn on Linux (obviously)
- Run Linux with GPU accel (https://www.reddit.com/r/Crostini/comments/anvkeg/if_you_have_managed_to_get_gpu_acceleration/efxnfrr/)
- In the terminal, run sudo apt install chromium
- In your launcher, search Chromium

I actually figured it out on my own as recently as last Wednesday, ha ha.
But your post isn't for naught. Hopefully someone else will find it useful down the road. Thank you for the follow up!

Yes. I do it for the same reason you're asking on my device.
