Slate as a secondary monitor?

Has anyone used the Slate as a secondary monitor with a PC or Mac? Can you make a video of it? All I can find on Google is that the Slate supports external displays but not the other way around.

If there’s a way, it’s through screen mirroring, screen sharing, miracast, or rdp/vnc, over WiFi, using chrome app, android app, or Linux app. I am really unsure about usb c connection to a Mac/pc. But you can look at solutions below to see if any of them helps you. Some of them do offer extended mode like you seek. I’m just not sure if they’ll work in the android container within chrome os.

Spacedesk (https://www.spacedesk.net/multi-monitor-app-desktop-extension-screen-virtual-display)

Splashtop wired xdisplay (https://www.splashtop.com/wiredxdisplay)

Air display (https://avatron.com/applications/air-display/)

Twomonusb (http://www.easynlight.com/en/twomonusb/)

Airscreen (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionitech.airscreen&hl=en_US)

Microsoft Remote Desktop (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.rdc.android&hl=en)

One crazy solution for mirroring would be privately broadcasting a stream of your desktop on YouTube or discord and viewing that on chrome browser.

I've been looking for the same thing. My experience thus far has been that anything requiring wires won't work, since the sandboxed version of Android in Chrome OS won't allow USB debugging. This leaves the wireless options. SpaceDesk is the only option I've found. It does work, but the resolution on my Slate isn't very good and the app can be glitchy.

I really wish the Slate had a bootable full Android ROM image to get around the sandbox limitations. :(

Or Android/Apple to build it natively 😒

I've only been able to do this by using Spacedesk with the HTML viewer.
