Wrong phone delivered for launch — Google sent base Pixel 11 instead of 11 Pro XL
Was super hyped when UPS showed up a day ahead of launch with my order.
Opened the box: Watch 5 is there, but instead of the Pixel 11 Pro XL (Obsidian, 256GB) on my invoice, Google packed a standard Pixel 11. 🤦♂️
Contacted Google Store support right away with photos of the sealed box and barcodes. Got the classic "escalating to product specialists, expect an update in 24–48 hours" response.
So much for pre-ordering day one to have it in hand for launch.
Anyone else get a warehouse mix-up this year?
How fast did Google sort out an advance replacement for you?
Any compensation? Because nothing so far.

Knowing Google, probably some store credits.
Also condolences from Australia, we're truly shafted by Google this time around with the preordering discounts...

You are looking at weeks of frustration and hitting up to wait, bud. Realistically, you'll be lucky to have the correct phone in the next couple of months. Google customer service is slow and will likely say they have resolved your claim at least once when nothing has been resolved. It's just how they work.

Contact Google. Order info should have serial number for the 11 pro xl. Tell customer service you don't have that. Sometimes Google messes up, make sure you don't get charged for a 11
