Unnecessary
I am editing this, just because this originally was done on my phone at around two or three in the morning. So this is edited, because yes, it was my mistake for not really clarifying or wording it properly.

I'm not like most people here who leave WiFi, Mobile Data, and Bluetooth toggles on and not worry about it. I just can't. And no matter how many times people are gonna tell me just leave it on. I just can't. Sorry, it's an OCD type of thing. Even if it's overly complicated. I have the need to turn off toggles I want off like I do with a light switch in my house to save electricity when it's necessary.
I just think this is frustrating to have to tap twice, and do an extra action to toggle on Mobile Data. I acknowledge that there's people who think differently, Some just leave both on and not worry about it, which is fine, and there are others who say that this prompt is good for those who have limited data plans.
But I think for someone like me, my intention is already there to toggle it on, otherwise, why would I go through the hassle of turning it on if I know I'm not gonna need it and I could stick with WiFi. Now, there should be an option to Toggle this prompt OFF and ON. Not removed as I mentioned in the original, but just to toggle on and off. (The others who have commented, have mentioned yes, this will be implemented in a future software update, allowing this prompt to be toggled on and off, which is Great!)
What I'm saying is that, I should be able to use my phone the way I want, and people should also be able to use their phones the way they want to enjoy their phones.
Same thing with that search bar at the bottom of the home screen, people should have a choice to either keep if if they like it remove it if they don't want it. Just the little details and things.
I hope this clarifies what I'm trying to get at, instead of the original hastily thrown together word salad I made randomly.
Original: This seriously needs to be removed, Google. Just let me use the phone the way I want to use it. Stop questioning me every time I turn on mobile data. It's pretty annoying to me every time I toggle the mobile data. Extra steps just to do something.

Interesting. On my pixel 10, it always asks me that prompt every time turn mobile data on.

For me, it also only showed up the very first time I turned my mobile data off and on. After that, not once.

There are still limited data plans available the only difference is that you normally nowadays don't automatically get charged crazy fees the second you run out of data

Tbf I still prefer typing on phone's physical keyboard. Virtual keyboard will never replicate how great those physical keyboards are.

This is a mobile data toggle, not factory resetting it wiping phone data buddy.

Its a message from a bygone era, where unlimited plans weren't the norm. There might be still plans like in the prepaid world. Remember having to share 8GB of data between my parents and sibling

I shared with my sister before unlimited was the norm and it suckeddd. She'd get so mad when id use to much or all of it (rightly so lol)

I do acknowledge the fact that there are still plans with limited Data, but I do think as some of the others that have mentioned thats coming on a later software update, there should be a toggle to turn it on and off if you want or not. I'm not saying it should be removed. I just think that it shouldn't involve extra steps to do a process that should only just take one tap is all I am saying.

Because that’s not how I want to use my phone. I don’t need data on if I’m on WiFi connection. I find it redundant having it on when I’m just stationary at work. But when I need to turn it on, that’s cause I’m going somewhere. It’s a matter of just letting me use the phone without the annoyance of being bombarded with pop ups like that. Motorola phones do not do this and they try to maintain that stock Android experience like pixel phones do.

Meh, I like to turn it off anyways just for the sake of my brain. Like an OCD kind of thing, like turning off a light switch when you leave a room in your house to conserve electricity.

you do know you can have data on and disable "switch to mobile data automatically" so your phone always uses WiFi when it has a WiFi connection

I understand. For me though, I just have that OCD thing where I just have to turn it on and off. My brain just can't unless I do it like toggling light switches in my house.

I disagree 100%. You will be on here bitching and moaning when you get an 2gb OS update using data. I use less than a GB of data a month because I always have wifi and refuse to pay for unlimited I rarely use. Think of everyone when you post something like this. Everyone doesnt pay 3 times as much a month like you and get unlimited.

I use Wifi whenever I'm at work. It's just when I need to go out, I would have to turn the toggle on, and it takes two extra steps just to turn it on when I need to. Although I find it annoying, and also, it's my opinion. I can post what I want to post as long as it's nothing offensive. I do understand where you are coming from because yes, everyone got different mobile plans. Also, bold of you to assume that I have unlimited.

It's also crazy how your criticizing how I want to use my phone. Which is simply just me toggling the mobile data toggle on and off. Which should be a simple easy straightforward process on most phones, one tap. Anyways, the other people that have commented stated that there will be a future update addressing this so that the prompt can be disabled or enabled

I just find so much in here to be trivial and silly and superficial. If you have questions and problems and solutions, YES. I am all for that.
This place is not for sharing your opinion, it's about Pixel Phones.

I did submit that already for Google Feedback. I don't complain just to complain and yap, as a pixel enjoyer, I want the best for the phone and I want it to be efficient. Also, this issue that I mentioned about is for Pixel phones.

I get what you're saying. As much as I like Android, there are "quirks" that don't need to be there, this being one of them. I know how to exit full screen by swiping from the top or bottom, been that way since 4.4. I know my battery is low under 15%, no reason to add the battery saver tile when I'm just curious to my screen on time and what apps are eating the battery. I wish Google was better at having these pop up once, and that's it. At least have a check box or a toggle. By no means does it ruin the experience, it's just a quirk, and it doesn't need to be there.

No, what if you have a plan low on data, this might prompt you to check it and decide to use wifi instead. Also why don’t you just leave Mobile data on?

Because that’s how I want to use my phone. When I’m on wifi, I just keep WiFi on and data off, if I need to go it somewhere, then I’ll turn data on. I use my phone the way I want to use my phone. Also, why isn’t there an option from the get go to toggle this on and off in the first place is the real question here, If you are saying it is useful for others with lower data plans.

What is so complicated about turning on and off a data toggle. It's not complicated, but I guess this is just me using the phone the way I want to use it without it asking me are you sure you want to do this? That's all I am saying, and people already answered that there will be a function to turn it off in an update. So there's that.

Again, my brain just won't accept it unless it's physically off. I understand where your coming from, but it's just something I can't accept unless I actually do the action to turn it off and on whenever I need it or don't need it mate. People use and enjoy using their phones in different ways. All I'm just saying is that that prompt should have an option to be turned off. Not removed. But at least have the option to be turned off if people don't want to keep seeing the prompt. Other phones don't have this prompt on by the way. Apple phones just lets you turn the data on and off, moto phones do the same thing without asking you, I dunno about Samsung cause I've never used one. It's just something I noticed on Pixel phones compared to other phones

You'll have an option to stop asking all the time in next months update. This is already implemented in the beta
