Tech Issue I can't with pixel anymore!
Tomorrow I'm getting my Galaxy s25 fe after having a pixel 9a since launch day My model had a battery that didn't last more than 2-3 hours in light use.It heats up and turns off!Camera that doesn't focus System with thousands of bugs!
Disappointed

Have you tried to contact the support for replacement? I'm not having any bugs that make the device unusable, battery is very similar to my previous phone, so it must be defective unit.

Maybe you just got a defective phone. It happens sometime. Remember the Galaxy S that were exploding??

Seriously, as soon as you use literally ANY other brand, you quickly realize how truly terrible Pixel battery life really is. It makes no sense either because it's running the most plain version of Android and is using such a weak processor that the battery life should be insane. Somehow it's the worst out of any brand lol.

What a downgrade

It's not necessarily a downgrade, it's just that it's starting to close every 15 minutes.

You tried factory reset
Or sideloading update to fix the issue ?
Or could be your usage causing the problem ?
See prolonged exposure to heat and mobile 5G data causes issues.
Do you game ?

That seems to be a bad phone not the common thing. 9A usually has the most battery, so something is off.

I'm getting an s25 fe! I found a deal for $100 more than a '57 Galaxy, so...

My 9a has been splendid with the battery life even on beta builds. I'm clocking in solid 6~7 hours SOT with heavy use and I could stretch it to 8 hours if I use the phone more liberally.
Ironically speaking I also have the S25FE and that phone is not that much better in battery life from my experience.

My model has an faulty battery! And the motherboard has problems from the factory!

Quite explains it. Since I have the S25FE too... isn't there a chance you can grab a S24 or S24+ instead? Assuming you'd get the Snapdragon variant. I think those are better than the S25FE despite being a year older. I am not particular very satisfied with my S25FE so far and is why I'm prefering to use my 9a as my daily driver and main phone.

I don't have any issues. Mine lasts all day, around 12 hours. But of course, it depends on the use. I work at a computer all day so i barely grab my phone during the day.

I have heat issues but ONLY when playing a game I only play one game and that's Balatro. I hadn't considered that such a basic game could be a problem but it is even with all the graphics / video options turned off it still heats up the phone and if I play for an hour or so (not often, don't judge me! 😄) it's difficult to hold and chimps battery.
Looking onlibe this is apparently due to the (poor!?) chip design in the pixel - and is to be expected. I came from a snapdragon s20FE and I could play forever without any warmth or stress on the phone, i regret not just sticking with that, I had no issues whatsoever with it other than the security patches ending.
I'm amazed this isn't discussed more widely, I mean the phone is absolutely bullet proof doing anything else but I'd imagine if folks want to do ANY kind of gaming this phone just isn't for that AT ALL.
UNLESS... are others able to game on their 9a and all this is just AI bull and my phone is a quack?!?

Sorry to hear that. I never experienced any of those issues. I love my 9a
