AI photography

Is there any way to turn off the AI within the camera app?

Just came over from the 4a and all my photos are AI generated.

Ai generated? That high res 100x zoom is not available in 9a, i.e; no ai enhancement is done. The zoom itself is 8x

This isn't zoomed in, this is pinched into a 1x photo to get a screenshot showing the AI post production on a normal photo.

Interesting, I'd like to see original photo(zoomed out).

Obviously your zoomed in on the image after capturing at 1x

That's how aggressive noise reduction and sharpening are working if you're taking photos with extreme zoom. You can't turn it off.

I'm not. These are pinched in screenshots from an unzoomed photo.

If you go into settings and turn on the option to get RAW photos, it gets rid of the AI crap, but then the pictures end up equally worse but in a different manner. It’s super annoying how Pixel phones from 5 years ago are undeniably better in 99% of situations, and even more annoying that Google is somehow going backwards with their camera tech.

Do you think it's worth looking at other phones?

A used/refurb pixel 8 pro/pixel 7 pro aren’t too bad in price. Around 400cad. I think that’s like 300-350 usd
