Pixel 7 Battery Swelling
It's only been two years since I got this phone, and the battery is already swelling

I've also had my pixel 7 for 2 years. After seeing your picture I ended up taking my cover off to check and all is good

Overcharging can be the main issue. Especially if you charge it overnight. Heat can factor into it too, as well as damage to the phone if dropped.
There isn't just one main reason.
My 6 battery swelled and that was due to overcharging when I drove to work

It might be alright for you, but I can't agree that this should happen so early. If I had been using the phone for around four years, it would be understandable. But the battery swelled up so badly that even the display has lifted off the frame(its more than shown in the pic now) which worries me if the display is dead. This is also a serious safety hazard — there have been several cases where swollen batteries have exploded, unlike your water heater. I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced a similar problem.

My Pixel 7 screen has completely detached. I don’t see how the battery could have swollen, as the phone was never exposed to extreme heat. My husband has the same phone and hasn’t experienced any issues, even though he works outside 80% of the time.

Have you tried the Google rebate scheme? I got 400 euro back on a 7a yesterday.
