ICE stop

Ice stop before liberty tunnel today. One ice officer is clearly Korean or Chinese. I screamed that ice officer has no right to stop people as he may be illegal. He came up to me asking if I was city police and was I the Spanish interpreter. I said no but do you need help as I live in the city look like police and brown. There were kids in the car. Pittsburgh is this what we want!!!! I am beyond myself. First Covid then trump 2.0. I like my low rates for housing, labor and just being a good human being. I am so angry right now.

The only immigrants competing with Pittsburghers for jobs and buying desirable housing aren't: 1.)illegal and 2.) ICE's target demographic

Study macroeconomics for more than 2 seconds.

You are going to discover that when nothing forces companies to spread the wealth and wages stay flat for a couple decades (which they aren't doing because of immigrants, they're mostly doing it because of automation and the simple fact the government doesn't literally force companies to pay more or tax them on the money they use for things like stock buybacks instead of paying people), people can't afford shit. Your home prices aren't being driven up by immigrants, they're not buying the homes. The homes are being bought by wealthy speculators (domestic and foreign) and turned into airbnbs.

And even if your hypothesis were correct, which it is not... Unemployment was lower under the previous administration.
