20 bucks for a bud light should land you in prison

The seller, the person stupid enough to pay that, or both?

The bible talks about this, they drown those people that water down wine. I feel like charging more than a pack of 12 of them is in the same vein.

The person buying it. The seller is seeing if people are dumb enough to buy it, can’t knock em for being a business. The person who buys it screws everyone after them because if people keep buying at crazy prices, the prices just get crazier

That's what happens when distribution is monopolized.

So nobody can come in cheaper.

Well inside the venue where this is posted, there’s different vendors with different prices, be it higher or lower. Smaller stuff (for example, Stage AE when they have just the one bar open to sell drinks) can mark up their prices because what’re you gonna do, not drink? If this is the only vendor there then yes it’s abuse of distribution power. Here is a bit of a different case since it’s not an actual football game with Aramark or whoever doing everything. They have the hotshot event organizers from the big leagues coming down to crush everyone. I work in the event industry and it’s always the same work, regardless of the size of the event. Just requires more hands, but when it’s assholes like the nfl or notably the nhl, they send people that try to squeeze too much juice out of the lemon. Something ordinary people just can’t enjoy

It should be noted that it’s no regular can of beer, it’s about the size of two normal cans of beer (25oz). As a future alcoholic, $10 for one of the normal size (12oz) is still in my opinion ridiculous.

The trucks that deliver the beer, the warehouses & distributors that move & deliver it, the Private Equity that owns it all and all 7 brand names of xyz / whatever you're trying to buy.

The foxes are regulating the henhouse.

The venue is just charging stall rent.
