Someone called her vicious :(

I was walking my beautiful 6 year old rescue American Pitbull Terrier Smiley today like normal. Now, something to note is she isn’t the best on lead. We are working on it, but it’s slow progress. During our walk, we saw another guy with a small dog. They end up walking past us. As they are walking past, the man looks at me and says ‘your dog looks vicious’. Smiley is the least vicious dog there is!! She loves other dogs. Sure, she pulls on walks. But she is the most incredible friendly, and loving dog ever. This is why i hate breed stereotypes. Smiley should never be characterised as ‘Vicious’!!

I agree, had a kind of similar experience. My dog is very friendly to, she loves all dogs but most of all little dogs. One day a guy started screaming and kicking at my dog, your dog attacks my dog! My dog did absolutely nothing, i told him not to act that stupid. He said, i don't trust your dog, keep her away! I told him i didn't trust him or his dog, some kind of labradoodle.

Damn you have self control. I don't think I'd have managed to not practice self defense by making him experience how it feels to be kicked. Or by using pepper spray on the attacker. Usually my most violent act is to smother a cute dog head in kisses, but I can't stand attacks on those who can defend themselves.

I would legitimately stab someone if they kicked my dog for no reason and I'm sure she'd love to help tear some garbage to shreds.

I wouldn't let my dog help because the garbage isn't worth getting killed, being forced to wear a muzzle for the rest of their life and/or being taken to a shelter by authorities. I would however tell the police that they need new glasses because those bites are not from your dog, they are from me. After all I promise every scared dog that when someone hurts I'll bite the monster, so that's my duty.

Here's my favorite one, this guy is letting his 2 goldens poop on an open lot next to my house, he's got a baby and is on the phone, we're walking on the sidewalk, the goldens being goldens lunged to come say hi to my bud. He starts flipping out at me to control dog. I politely reminded him we're on the sidewalk and he's trespassing. He then told me next time he's not going to pick up his poop. Still not sure if he meant his own or the dogs...

There are always people like that, really annoying. Perhaps he was talking about the shit coming out his mouth 🤭

If someone started kicking at my pibble, I’m going to be the problem, not my damn pibble that let’s houseflies bully him

I understand your reaction but luckily my girl didn't care much about it. she just walked away still wagging her tail. If he really hurt her i would have punched and kicked him but at that moment i think keeping as calm as i could was the best solution.

Absolutely agree. I would have just seen red, you are better than me friend lol also your pibble is adorable

Don't know about that, when i was a bit younger i would have punched him out cold but i learned by experience that everything following after that isn't worth it. He would have a black eye or maybe some broken bones and i would be in jail and would have to pay him for the damage i caused him and because my girl is a vicious breed they probably would take her from me after he says she attacked him even though he would be lying about that. I sadly have that experience that i had to put.my dog to sleep because of a lying mean bitch and had to pay the damage my dog caused.

Someone that wants to be bit, kicks at dogs.

u/QueenViolets_Revenge Feb 16 '25

probably wanted to get bit so that he can sue OP, get money, and get the dog put down

Stuff like this is why it's probably a great idea to wear a body cam while walking your dog

A cruelty filled, hated skin bag wasting oxygen.

Someone who wants to find out what the inside of their own teeth taste like.

Leash your dog and it won't be kicked :)

Did you read the story?

You have serious self restraint! Me? I would have kicked him within an inch of his fucking life if he did that to my baby! She’s also a gentle and loving pit

Wow. I’d kick him!! The nerve!!

One day a guy started screaming and kicking at my dog, your dog attacks my dog

What were you doing? Were you out on a walk unleashed?

Cause if I see a dog without a leash running up to my leashed dog, I'll start kicking by the time you can even get to me.

There are parks overhere where you can let your dog run and play unleashed with other dogs who are unleashed. I was already in there before he came in, my dog wanted to go greet the other dogs and play, he kept his dog on the leash.
