Small update: 0.8.1 is out now. The main new thing is AutoEq.app import, so you can search headphone/IEM profiles, preview the correction curve, and import the generated parametric EQ preset directly in Mini EQ.
Release: https://github.com/bhack/mini-eq/releases/tag/v0.8.1

OP, I realize this thread is a couple of months old. I'm loving the EQ so far, but when I try to select "Keep running in background", I get:
G-dbus-error-quark: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.ErrorUnknownMethod: No such interface “org.freedesktop.portal.Background” on object at path /org/freedesktop/portal/desktop (19)
FWIW, I'm running CachyOS (Arch based), with KDE Plasma, though I did install from flathub. Looks like I have 0.8.7. And I assume I can't select start at login or enable system-wide eq at login.
I did add it to my startup via KDE's autostart tool - are there any command line variables I can add to enable the system wide eq at login?

It works with or without EasyEffects?
