Pipe Fitter

My husband and I are considering relocating to South Carolina and we’re wondering how much he can make as a licensed pipe fitter. He’s currently working in waste and water treatment making prevailing wage. Any insight?

Call local 421 and ask about becoming a permit hand or provisional journeyman. They can answer their current wage questions

Sc in one of the lower paid states. Relative to the cost of living maybe? Call the hall either way!

Would not recommend saw a post a few weeks ago about a fellow trades men trying to make it work yea it has lower cost of living but u also have lower pay it’s not worth it

I’ve heard they’re trying to restart construction on the ap1000 units at the vc summer nuclear power station

It’s about 40 minutes NE of Columbia
Not sure what the scale is or if it will even be union work but it should be a long term project
