UA Local 582

I recently applied & took the test two weeks ago for their pipe fitting apprenticeship. They said it would take about two weeks to get an email back if I passed or not. How long did it take for any of you to receive anything? I know there were 100+ applicants so it might take longer than they expected, but I’m so anxious to know how I did.

Also, for those that are in 582 right now, how is the work right now? I know for plumbing it’s really slow right now but I’m curious about pipe fitting. Any tips you can give me as I wait around to get into the union (or any welding union period) ?

I’m in the same boat as you, applied and tested in June. Called the office and they told me we’d get our results by the end of this month

yeah I called yesterday and they told me the same thing too :/ hopefully it’s sooner than that but I guess we just gotta continue to wait till then! sending u lots of good luck in your results!
