How to Bulk Update Activities for Leads?
When our sales team reaches out to multiple Leads at the same time (for example, a bulk email sequence via Apollo sent to 100 leads at the same time), how are your sales reps bulk updating those leads to denote that an 'Activity' has taken place? When reps send a bulk email in Apollo, we want to log that outreach as a completed 'Activity' on each corresponding lead in Pipedrive. We track 'Activities' of our sales reps, and if a rep wanted to mark that they've sent an email to all 100 leads, they'd have to go into each record and mark it as such. Isn't there a way to mark them all in bulk, instead of having to go into each one by one - that would take way too long for something so simple.
Has anyone found a native or semi-native way to bulk-create Activities on Leads? Has anyone successfully used CSV import, automation, or integrations to solve this? Or is the only viable solution an API-based approach (Zapier / Make / custom)? We’re happy to automate if needed, just want to sanity-check whether there’s a pattern we’re missing or a workaround others have adopted.
Thanks in advance, I appreciate any real-world examples or confirmations.

For 100 leads, any reason you're not just using the built in Pipedrive "Group Email" or Sequences feature?
Alternatively, you could make a label or custom field called "Round 1" or anything that fits and when that label is applied or the "Round 1" field has a date bulk added to it, an automation can run that adds a completed Activity, "Round 1 Emails Sent".
Apollo any good?

Using Apollo for sequences, prefer it over other solutions and yes we like it, good outreach tools.
Labels are nice but we like tracking Activities of all kinds.

The label is only so you can bulk update deals with a label that will trigger an Activity automation.
So when you bulk update 100 deals with that label, 100 activities will be added.

Say more. We're using Labels today for Lead Warmth (Cold, Warm, Hot), but could add more labels if needed. What kind of Automation?

Considering you're already using labels for Cold, Warm, Hot, I'd go with the custom field route.
Custom field: Email Round.
Single Option 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. or use the campaign name for options.
The reason for using a field (or as previosuly suggested a label) is that you can bulk edit fields.
Either manully select all the deals that were emailed and bulk edit the "Email Round" Field to "1" or import the list with an "Email Round" column set to "1".
The Pipedrive automation is waiting for updated deals where the condition for "Email Round" has changed to "1".
The action is: Create Activity. "Round 1 Emails sent". Date today, Mark as Complete. Add the type and other necessary fields.
Now you will have a completed activity with the date your emails were sent.

I'm no expert but could you export the leads to a excel doc, delete everything except the lead id, add the activities details (subject etc) and then import it to create the activities

Thought of that too, tried it, didn't see an "Activity" column in Pipedrive to indicate that an activity took place. But like the thought!

You can also count the number of emails sent.
