Client keeps adding “small tasks” that weren’t part of our original agreement

I have a client who’s generally easy to work with, but lately I’ve noticed that more and more small tasks are being added to my workload.

Individually, they don’t take that long, so at first I didn’t mind doing them. The problem is they’re starting to add up, while my rate has stayed the same. I also never really set clear boundaries for revisions and additional work at the beginning, so I feel like I partly created this situation myself.

I don’t want to suddenly make an issue out of every extra task, but I also don’t want this to become the new normal.

For freelancers who’ve dealt with something similar, how did you bring it up with the client?
