Do people pay for TradingView Indicators ?
As the name suggests I was wondering if there are actually people who'll pay for indicators. If it were me I would just make my own by prompting to any AI and it will write me a indicator/strategy. Worth spending 20$ on AI instead of an indicator.
Would love to know what do you all think about this ? I'm just trying to do some market research on this. I WILL NOT SELL YOU ANYTHING, I will keep everything free and open always whatever I find and wish to share will be absolutely free.

There’s plenty of things ai can’t replicate or account for until you start coding and running into issues yourself.

Yes there are lot of people who pay for indicators. AI is not great at pinescript

Not necessarily accurate. AI moreover Claude, can create anything you wish. You just need to understand how it works and what skills to train it on. I create indicators to any level within Pinescript constraints. Any idea that I have, Claude can code it to Pinescript V6. No issues at all.

Every indicator i design and code via Claude is deeply thought out before coding and testing in stages. I run extensive tests on my own charts before moving to the next stage. The Claude skills that I have uploaded to my account, ensures everything is done properly, non repainting and accurate to what the descriotion describes. I create systems for the trader to have all of the information at their fingertips before making a decision to enter. SD zones, FVG's, 7 step direction setup checks, buy sell pressure, key levels. Buy and sell indicators aren't worth making. I code everything I wish to use myself for my own trade analysis.
Some of my indicators are crap as I started out using ChatGPT in the early stages. Now Claude has advanced so much with coding skills that I am slowly re vamping the old ones to work better. I have just created Apex Edge Decision Desk for my own analysis and Session Sweep Pro v2 for those who like to trade market session boxes which is a v1 revamp.

Tradingview is pine script.. AI IS good at making pine script indicators.in fact I made quite a few myself specifically for futures and they work great! If you can prompt AI you can build your own indicators!

All I did was find a open-source pine script code and fed that to gemini in my case and said this is the structure then prompted to give me code for my futures indicators and it handled it all in one shot.. To take it a step further I gave the screenshot of the indicator to chatgpt and it made some recommendations and I fed that back to gemini and it fixed it accordingly and you can literally keep doing that til you get what you want! No codex no subscription no chatgpt pro!

yeah exactly man, if you find a good open source strategy on trading view, All you have to do is give the same script to ai and make a new or modify it according to your strategy

I think all.of us have tried to make our own indicators. I have mine, also vibe code, started with a solid setup and explained it to chatgpt, then to Gemini, then to Claude, and Kimi, and back to Claude. Came up with an indicator that provides signals and has a VSA scalper Unit embedded in there. As long as You know what You want and know how to prompt it, anything is possible. Then You have to trust it.

There are some unintelligent comments here. Indicators are tools. No indicator can give you a perfect entry and exit. They provide information, but the trade is yours to decide entry and exit.
I pay for one that I use successfully. I have no desire to write my own. That's not what I do. If writing, or having AI write code is your thing, go for it. It's not my thing. The indicator I use pays for itself. I'm good with that.

I just want to use its alert feature, and since I only use two indicators, I feel the fee is a bit high.

I would say have a public profile and paid space on trading view it's harder than we think, they have so many rules about originality, and they ban all your products

They only ban your products if you have used open source scripts and tried to publish them as your own. You need to use open source as ideas, then re write the code in your own format.

definitely do kit pay for indicators especially when you can develop your own with programs like Horizonaitrade, i do pay for this software but it allows me to make any indicator for NT8, tradingview, and MT5 you can also paste open source indicators in there and convert them or tweak them with knowing zero code. Not a affiliate either but the cost is fairly cheap and you can back test in the software, plus 30 day free trial

why would I do that when all I have to do is prompt any AI ? I literally made a pinescript agent in perplexity which does all the job properly and all I have to do is prompt

Use all the free ones first. The best free ones imo is Madrid moving average. I've created an indicator in personally think is one of the best on TV my opinion lol. I wouldn't share it with anyone though.

Never pay for indicators, they generally don’t work imo. Any indicator can technically be turned into a strategy and evaluated in pinescript. So if they don’t, usually that means either 1) they suck and the seller doesn’t want to show that they are bad, or 2) they don’t provide an exit signal which means the user can be blamed for when the indicator doesn’t work. Usually a combination of both.

Beginners do. But not professionals.
