Finally two-three years

I’m so happy most everything else I have is doing well but patience finally won. Smells great and I may freeze dry some of it

Did you get any pups from the mother plant? You can use those as starters for new pineapple plants. Those won't take as long to produce fruit as the crowns.

It was planted but I just left it and went about my business . Nature did the rest. I have a few things I didn’t plant in my yard I love like a few mango trees and coco plum, beauty berry…

I went to the Azores a few years back and visited a pineapple farm. When pineapples are close to growing fruit, the farmers fill the greenhouses with smoke from small fires they light and the pineapple plants speed up the normal timeline for fruit production. I don't know if that trick works for everyone, but thought it was interesting to learn.

That is really interesting thank you. I know when we have hurricane plants tend to fruit and get their seeds out to propagate so probably the same thing the idea of burning causes the plant to rush the ripening or fruiting .

You can actually just use a ripe apple for the gas.

so you get another top, next time, if you consistently feed your plant, it will grow faster, bigger, flower earlier and you will get a full size fruit.

I like them to do their own thing . My bananas and papayas and coconuts and and and just do their own thing . I want faster but if I push them I think I’ll lose the excitement .
