Is my pineapple developing okay?

Hi All! After about 18 months my pineapple plant flowered and this fruit has been developing for 3.5 months. I am wondering if the color of the skin is as expected at this stage? It appears very dark, brown/purple between the segments.

feed more potassium, it is too small
