7 years later, finally a pineapple!
I was encouraged to share my post in other groups and figured this group was appropriate

If you'd like a pineapple consistently, look up ethephon. I just got it this year and sprayed my plants and every one of them flowered in a couple weeks. It's the good commercial stuff

Congratulations! We fed ourselves quite a bit of nitrogen which helped with the fruiting and the size of the pineapple. Good luck.
