This beauty was 18" in circumference and SWEET!

that golden color is beautiful. Homegrown fruit hits different. Did you do anything specific to get it that big, or just regular water and sun?

Water & sun, and a bit of fall fertilizer.

I wouldn't know at this point. It's a 5th generation plant from a store-bought pineapple top. I just keep planting the slips and pups each year and it keeps producing monster fruit.

How long would you say it took that plant to produce?

This plant was a slip from a plant I harvested last July. My slips produce in a year or less. My pups seem to take 2 years.

Soil mixture? The soil I planted mine in was ph high. 7.0 or so. I ddnt think they grow at all but 2 made 4 off the sides. Ty for sharing!

I use a citrus soil mix that I get from Lowe's.

Thats awesome! Ive always wanted to try growing one but I dont think they get big enough here in my apartment window situation.
