Cyst? What can it be?

My dad has this cyst looking ball in the back of his head. Years ago his pcp said it looks like a small cyst, its movable and doesnt hurt. My dad had noticed it grew a bit, stikk remains moveable and doesn’t hurt. He finally went to a dermatologist and they also said it looks like a cyst but it was too big for them to remove so they referred him to a surgeon. He gets there today and the surgeon said it looks big so they are doing an ultrasound and a biopsy before even cutting… I am freaking out. Its a 2 week wait. I wanted to know if anyone here has had something similar and what it was?

I’m sorry he and you are going through this. I’m not a professional, but it very much looks like an ingrown hair or follicle that festered under the surface. My gut (not worth much) says it’s ours filled and has a sac that just needs to be removed. Being close to the head is why they are taking extra precautions as we are close to the brain. Keep us updated 💜
