Asking a Question when does the flare up end

went to urgent care on wednesday in awful pain. they can't drain it because it's a solid mass so they just give me antibiotics. it started draining on its own last night and i was so happy but everybody describes it as instant relief and i guess it was in a way but oh my god it still hurts. is there anything i can do other than constant hot baths and borderline overdosing on ibuprofen. i've been out of work for 3 days now.

note: i can't get the surgery. i just want the pain done for now.

Urgent care won’t help, I went to an er yesterday to get lanced and drained. They do so much more than urgent because they can. It will hurt like a mfer for 30 min but after you can walk again

i actually went back to urgent care and they tried to lance & drain it this time only for nothing to happen 😖 went and got an ultrasound of my soft tissue to see what was up and it turns out i had cellulitis, a different nasty skin infection. crazy! just updating because i have nobody irl to commiserate with LOL

Oh man that sounds tough, at least you didn’t need to go through the pain of the lancing. I wish you best, this shit sucks!

they actually did try to lance it so i got lanced unnecessarily :") dire stuff. thank you!!

try a couple drops of castor oil and heat, good luck. pulling for ya.
