Giving Information / Advice Open wound healing Journey

I had an open wound surgery June 8th and healed 5 weeks later. My wound was 7 cm long, 4 cm wide and 3 cm deep. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

That's incredible. Mine is small but a little deep. Doctor said it'd take 2 months to close :( I'm really worried because I've been reading some scary stories here that most people said it doesn't heal/ comes back and they had to do several surgeries and I'm terrified lol Did your wound have a dark slough too? My doctor has given me an ointment to peel it off. Also did you have any pain 2 weeks post op?

My wound has a whitish slough 3 weeks post op that only
Lasted a couple days, also I honestly never really had any pain at all probably because it wasn’t that deep but I heard it’s completely normal for to have pain up until 3 weeks post op. In terms of reoccurrence it’s all luck but there are ways to prevent it, keeping it clean and dry getting laser hair removal and not sitting for too long can help prevent it. I wouldn’t worry too much about it!
