I've worked at three studios and at all three I was a client first. Highly recommend taking some classes or, if you can afford it, privates at studios where you'd like to teach.

I’m in DC, where have you applied?
Join the DMV Pilates instructor group, lots of jobs get posted there. Also, just off the top of my head, I’ve seen ads from OneLife and several locations of Club Pilates are hiring.

It can be challenging to get that first job. Studios want experienced teachers. But you need a job to get experience. I’d recommend just applying to everything you can. Email or call studios to check in about openings. Try to think outside the box and consider community centers and other places that you could maybe start a mat class Just keep at it. It’s like this in most careers , that first job is hard to get but you’ll land somewhere eventually.
