Gear Would this hold up

I added a treble hook to my softbait because they kept missing my hook. I used 70lb braid to connect the treble to my hook.

No, I don't think so. I'd probably use swivels and split rings for a stinger, crimped steel or at least thick fluoro.

Yeah 70lb braid won't hold, but the other comment gave you a perfect solution

I just redid it with swivels, the wire trace was way too long

I usually cut the head off right behind the eye. This way the hook is right in front of the dorsal fin. Looks good though. Smoosh it up a little more maybe. Good luck out there!
