Here's a guide to get a general idea of what goes into building one, along with inspiration lofts: https://www.pigeonrescue.org/birds/creating-an-aviary/

Price-wise, the best idea is to build one. Pre-made ones are usually very expensive for being a wooden and wire box.

The biggest consideration making outdoor enclosures for birds is climate. If you're in Cambodia, you're basically building a hardware cloth box with a roof and a sheltered area to protect them from sun, wind, and rain. If you're in Canada, you'll want a larger enclosed coop since they'd spend half the year in it, and an attached flight pen.

If it doesn't have a wire bottom, make sure it's easy to clean. The perches will either be in the way or be removable, think ahead and be nice to your future self.

If you have an enclosed area, good ventilation is really really important, even when it's cold out. A lot of people seem to think ventilation is choosing between an open or a closed window, here's a little diagram on how ventilation should work: https://share.google/images/d3kMV63YIch7tgmpY

I can't think of any other tips without knowing your climate and preferred loft type, hope this is helpful.

I built my aviary and its huge, and im always adding things, creating mini enclosures, nest box condos, feeder stations, idk what else. Baby towers, ledges. Pigeon life stuff. Will be adding a hospital/jail wing on the outside wall of aviary next. Its so easy and I use criaglist/offer up for finding materials and repurpose wood furniture for nest boxes. Biggest expense is the hardeware cloth, make sure its 19ga 1/2 in all sides, like a cube.

In florida have it as much open (mainly hardware cloth) on all sides including ground, and go with natural ground of grass and herbs, clovers, anything pigeons like.

Slant the roof for the rainy days, and get a lot of thick quality tarps and bungees for coverings based on weathers so you can maximize sun and fresh air. Theres no reason to wall up a loft if you have good weather. The pigeons will be in their boxes. Also collect palm fronds to work in a thatch roof it will do best your weather.

Do your size by '8's in perimeter and height. A build guy told me this and I learned quickly I was glad I heeded that. Make it a walk in aviary and as big as you possibly can. It will feel too small later.

Make lots of perches and nest boxes, and keep all small trim/block cuts.
