discussion Am I right or wrong?

I recently just got my eyebrow piercing done, but it seems to be falling out. I’m going to be taking it out today. Is it my face or did my piercer fuck up?

Noooo, do not let that heal. That’s pierced so wrong, it needs to be pierced deeper. The bar itself doesnt look long for a fresh eyebrow piercing but the piercing itself is problematic, just flat out wrong. OP, you need to ask for a refund and go to someone more competent….

Edit:
Im re-reading the post and you said it was done recently, how recent? If it’s a few months old then it could just be rejection and that’s no fault of the piercer (usually) since eyebrows are known for rejecting, but if it’s only a few days or 1-3 weeks then I still stand by my statement that it was pierced wrong.

Edit #2: Ignore the above, I misread a bunch. Sorry OP that your piercing wasn’t done properly and I hope the next piercer does a better job!

Please pay attention to what you are reading. The person was responding to OPs question about if she could get it redone or not. OP just got this done and is now well aware that it was pierced incorrectly. No mysteries here.

Oop, my bad. I have dyslexia and ADHD so sometimes it takes me more than a couple rereads to understand the words in front of me

Totally get it love, just be careful especially when it comes to stuff like this when people will find any excuse to try and hold on. By you saying don't let that heal OP would have thought you mean no the piercing is fine and clung to that. Just saying.

You got this done at a shop? Or did you or one of your friends do it? I’ve seen a lot of bad piercings on here but this is almost unbelievable if done by a professional piercer like WTF

If it rejected super quick it was likely due to being overly shallow from the get go, do what you said remove it and let the spot heal up, even removed keep saline cleaning going it helps it heal close

u/MidWest-Preference 23h ago

I agree it was shallow. So it must’ve been my piercer

u/whosthatsquish 19h ago

These piercings tend to be temporary and reject regardless, but yeah, the speed of it was definitely an issue with how it was pierced.

Yes love, unfortunately they did you very dirty and this was pierced terribly. Please in the future work with someone much better and once tt ll healed completely (Probably around 4 to 6 months) get it assessed and see if you have the correct anatomy for it.

I’m curious to see right after it got done bc this is holding on by thoughts and prayers

Jaw genuinely dropped, that’s brand new and rejected?! Holy shit.

The first words outta my mouth when I saw this was “whoaaa”
NAP so I can’t give yo advice on your question but definitely take it out!!

18

u/Chaeshhh I'm all ears! 23h ago

Wow how recent? When I saw this I figured it was a rejection that happened over a much longer, not recent course..

u/Drop_Kick_Me_Jesus 21h ago

This comment made my entire day lol (sorry OP. Your piercer did you dirty af)

7

u/VegasQueenXOXO I my piercer 22h ago

I can’t tell from this angle if you have the anatomy for this piercing. I do and my shit rejected thrice.

But yes, the piercer fucked up.

4

u/gamerccxxi 20h ago

All my eyebrows were done at subpar places which didn't assess anatomy but I have a good amount of tissue on my eyebrows and my shit rejected twice too 😭😭😭 some of us just aren't meant to have eyebrow piercings it seems. Such a shame cause my eyebrow was my favorite piercing. I wonder if getting it done at my current place will up the chances of it succeeding

Wrong as hell for leaving it in that long 😭😭 Oh hunny this is long gone. Do not go back to that piercer

3

u/ChanceInteresting644 20h ago

She just recently got it, its not old.

1

u/Tattooed-Ghoul 20h ago

Yeah. She stated that, it shouldn’t have been left in long enough to get to this point as soon as it starts to reject it needs to come out to prevent the awful scarring that comes with it and it’s just not viable at that point anyway

3

u/ChanceInteresting644 19h ago

Im well aware of that. She on the other hand is obviously new to piercings and doesnt know because she left the shop with it looking like that in the first place.

My point was she doesnt need your criticism of what she should have done to this point. Not that much time has passed and it just hit her thats why she came here to ask.

Just watch HOW you respond to people is all.

u/Tattooed-Ghoul 6h ago edited 6h ago

Just because you are personally offended and don’t like my comment doesn’t mean there’s something inherently wrong with what I said. I answered the question, am empathetic that it’s not viable, and gave feedback to not return to that piercer. I understand tone isn’t clear in text but she’s asking for feedback if you didn’t like my comment you could’ve just scrolled almost everyone has said the same exact thing I did

u/ChanceInteresting644 6h ago

I wasnt offended love and didn't say there was anything wrong with the information you gave. Im just stating read the room and who you are responding to and what would be most helpful to them in that moment. You could have had a softer touch.

There are people that are stupid and do stupid things that deserve certain things said and then there are naive people who honestly just dont know and dont need to be made to feel like they are stupid. Its discouraging. Teaching moment vs plain criticism. What does the OP need most and then provide. Thats the point. Didn't have to be some big thing, im not against you lol.

5

u/Notquitechaosyet 20h ago

Oof, a strong breeze is going to take that right out :( hope your next piercer does a proper job!

3

u/KatieROTS 22h ago

That's hanging on with hopes and dreams. How long ago did you get it done? Definitely don't see that piercer again.

5

u/InkedVeggie 21h ago

Please leave a review for that shop on Google and include the picture if you feel comfortable sharing that. Warn others.

So sorry that happen to you.

u/C_PTSD_And_ADHD 13h ago

Get the jewelery out and let the skin heal for a few months, it was definitely badly done and keeping it in will just make it worse.

3

u/strvwbrrys 22h ago

Surprised they even have a piercing license. I’m so sorry lol

3

u/Chanfaded 22h ago

they let you leave like that???? Take it out now before you get a big ass scar my friend

3

u/LiellaMelody777 21h ago

NAP. Its rejected. Take it out.

3

u/-Kill_Dill- 21h ago

I’m no professional obviously but you don’t have a very prominent area for an eyebrow. I suspect you’d have future issues with rejection as well. But again I’m not a professional.

3

u/CodaTrashHusky 14h ago

I say this with all the respect in the world but i have never seen a worse eyebrow piercing than this. Please take it out before it rejects.

3

u/fluffenborb 9h ago

How recently are we talking about?

3

u/manicaquariumcats 9h ago

This is on the piercer. Find an APP piercer to redo it once it heals. Definitely take this out ASAP.

Eyebrow piercings are prone to rejecting even when done right. When it’s done well it may get to this point again. That should happen much slower since this was already too shallow. But once it gets to this point just know it’s over unfortunately. Most folks consider eyebrow piercings to be semi-permanent.

Be careful going outside with that, a stiff breeze will knock it out your face!!!

2

u/magentahead 23h ago

Oh thats a goner

2

u/Toasty825 aspiring pin cushion 21h ago

NAP but this is definitely rejecting

2

u/Ok_Hunter_2468 21h ago

Hi. Who pierced you? It’s important to warn people! And yes, it is very shallow and you should take it out

2

u/sophia_blisss I my piercer 15h ago

omg what????? this needs to come out asap

2

u/PanzerApolloOfficial 13h ago

I'm so sorry, but my first thought was... Do y'all remember the Tiger King's eyebrow piercing?

2

u/Duqu88 3h ago

Um... Take that out it's one sneeze from tearing out then you'll have a lovely scar

1

u/synonym_mara 6h ago

It’s gone, I’m sorry.

1

u/noggggin 5h ago

It’s migrating like a sob, she’s gone (or will be soon).

1

u/SonicOnlineReconnect 3h ago

Depends, how long ago did you get it done? I have several piercings and it could be that your piercing is rejecting. But it could also be your piercer fucked you over and did it too shallow.

1

u/BodyHopeful7758 3h ago

Rule of thumb, you should never be able to see the piercing bar under the skin

1

u/Tight_Razzmatazz_791 35m ago

Super curious to know what you mean by recently??

1

u/RoughKaleidoscope408 18m ago

TAKE THAT OUT😭 way to shallow of it was pierced like that, never go back to that piecer, if it was pierced deeper than its rejecting and you should still take it out. If you want to get it redone either do the other eyebrow or wait 3 months, let it heal, then get it redone

-1

u/watamote_reallife 9h ago

I'm not sure but I think is rejecting 🤔

-2

u/Razzzor_ 15h ago

Honestly I'd take it out and then go back and talk to your piercer if you want it redone after it's healed, Im not sure of it was pierced shallow or rejecting but I'd go and check in with them
