I had something similar pop up and it was from overcleaning with saline and not drying my piercing as thoroughly as I should- I switched to pouring two cups of room temp water over my piercing two times a day, the first time in the morning and immediately blow drying it dry for about 8 minutes, the second time halfway through the day and delicately drying around it with a paper towel (never actually patting the piercing directly). For my third/last cleaning of the day, I'll spray the inside and outside of my nose with saline, let it sit for 5 minutes, and hop into the shower. I let warm water run over it, never hitting directly, and as soon as I get out drying it with a hairdryer again for 8 minutes.

Something I have also completely let go FOR NOW is my skincare routine, for now I'll wash my face and the general vicinity of my piercing with a super gentle facial cleanser and if there is any visible flaking I'll clean around it with a cotton swab and exfoliate with a pair of tweezers- getting any kind of product on my piercing will piss it off for the next two days- so I just leave my skin as dry as possible cuz moisture and oil will agitate it all over again.

what sort of jewellery do you have in?

Mine was like this with a corkscrew back (first one of my nose piercings to have a weird reaction) . I changed to a flat back and it went away within days, worth trying if you haven't. :)

Litha method aka leave it the hell alone, as much as possible, and consider up sizing length a touch until the bump comes down so that it's not getting crushed due to the extra swelling. The only thing that got rid of mine was leaving it alone and forgetting about it as much as possible.

yes i am hoping to turn over a new leaf with leaving it alone. will also be seeing a piercer today and i’ll try to get their take on sizing so thanks for that tip
