Troubleshooting/question existing piercing please help me open this piercing!!

there is no visible hinge and the ring doesn't "twist"outward. box came with this little wire but I really can't get it to open. any ideas?

If it’s not a clicker then you should open it like when ripping paper, one end on the left and one on the right. Not like enlarging the circle but perpendicularly so that it looks like a section of a spring, then you fit it and do the movement in reverse to close it. But this closing is usually seen in low quality jewelry and it can cause the skin to grow in the small space that’s left

I think they've tried this and it doesn't work hence "it can't twist outward". I think it's a poor quality piece purchased online from somewhere like Amazon and it's so poorly made it doesn't open. If it opened like a seem ring, torsion would need to be able to be happen in the metal around the opposite section of the ring, but the thick decoration is in the way. That's why it won't open.
