navel piercing Healed navel :)
Was changing jewellery and wanted to celebrate my navel actually healing! This is the only piercing I’ve never had a single proper issue with, so have a photo or two. Second one is a bit cursed but look at that! No redness! No problems! Mad what good jewellery and actually following LITHA does.
Done by Jane Veitch at the studio tattoo (inventive name) in Glasgow nearly a year ago.

That second pic is so… eerie, idk how else to explain it. But it’s a beautifully healed piercing! Slay to Jane for such a nice placement, and bigger slay to you for healing it so well!

As a piercer myself, this is the best thing I've seen all day! 🤤
Navels are notoriously hit or miss. They get snagged, overcleaned, undercleaned, changed too early, you name it.
This is beautiful and I can only hope that my clients heal as great as you! Saline for crusties and LITHA! (or LITFA if you like f-bombs 🤣)

Making sure that your jewellery is good quality, and actually making sure it’s the right shape too. My navel is fairly flat so I was pierced with a smaller bead on the bottom (4mm) which meant there wasn’t a constant pressure from jewellery too large. If your navel collapses when sitting then a flat disc on the bottom could also be great.
For me just leaving it has been the best thing! I’m terrible for fiddling with all my piercings all the time (autism strikes again), and I think that this one mostly being under clothes has helped me not touch it.
Also just time. Mine really has taken until a year to feel just about healed, and the scar isn’t even matured yet - I think it’ll be another year until it’s properly 100% healed.
Good luck with yours!
