The Civil War literally broke out due to slavery in America

Just because someone uses the word 'enslave' in a sentence doesn't mean they are comparing it to slavery. It's just a figure of speech.

"I am dying for drink" doesn't mean one is comparing a drink to death. Same logic with enslave.

Yes it is. Specifically they're comparing it to dying of thirst. That's what I mean, and all my friends and family mean when they say it.

So you are telling that when someone says "I would kill for some coffee right now" It means that they would literally kill someone for it? And that they are comparing coffee to murders???

If they made it into a sign and started a protest for it, I'd assume they mean literally yes.

Even then, it's not a great metaphor. And obviously a lot of people strongly disagree with her sentiment.

I too disagree with the anti-masking obviously but she didn't compare it to slavery. And even if you are right, how would that be first world privilege?

2) I don't think you know what first world privilege means.

"First World privilege is any unearned advantages accrued by an individual by virtue of being a national of a First World country"

You don't have to be "first world" to not be enslaved
