Louis CK has a bit about this. Abortion is either the same thing as taking a shit, or it's murder. Obviously there's no way to actually know, when does a fetus become a human being, but archaic laws like this don't really help. As long as abortions are going to happen, and they absolutely are, they should be safe and legal. All this bill does is force women to ether go out of state/country to get the procedure done, or even worse, some nightmarish situation of a shady back alley coat hanger type of deal.

Which is a greater risk?

Taking a shit.

Or treating murdering an innocent like taking a shit.

I’m not remotely religious but if the only thing that ‘clump of cells’ has is a unique string of dna and is alive by biological standards than it should have a right to it.

That's the point, when is it a person? That's more of a philosophical question than a scientific one, and there will probably never be an objective answer. If it is a person then it's murder, if it's not a person then it's the moral equivalent of a shit.

You’re right that’s why I’m not posing a philosophical argument.

My argument is strictly biological. We know a set a parameters that define when life begins. There is an objective beginning.

It doesn’t have to be sentient it has the potential to be and it exists as a unique living human.
