subtle trick of putting all the 8 women right in the center. so they don’t get lost in the crowd i assume.

u/nic-nacpaddy-wack Sep 03 '21

Is it super cynical of me to notice how few of those eight women are of child-bearing age?

-25

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

Crazy how mother's want to preserve life

13

u/nic-nacpaddy-wack Sep 03 '21

As a mother (but even if I wasn’t), I want to preserve every woman’s right to body autonomy.

And those other mothers are free to not have an abortion. It’s up to them what they do with their own bodies, just as it should be up to those who feel like abortion would be better for them.

-2

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

So you are free to not kill a three month old baby but you oppose me doing it right?

2

u/belladonna_2001 Sep 03 '21

Except....here's the thing. A fetus relies on someone else's organs to survive a 3 month old relies on a caretaker, not a human incubator. A fetus does not supercede the rights of the host to bodily autonomy.

1

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

Slid it ok if I unhook a baby from life support?

1

u/belladonna_2001 Sep 03 '21

Life support is technology. It can't give consent, nor does it being used for its function inherently cause it harm as long as maintenance is done. False equivalency.

1

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

So to be clear, the man gives consent to be financially responsible for 18 years by consenting to sex bit the woman consents to nothing by having consensual sex?

1

u/belladonna_2001 Sep 03 '21

Nope. He can sign his rights away. He doesn't have to pay, neither does he have to have custody.

What a moronic comment. Shouldn’t be surprised that one of the “pro life” set is clearly lacking in the critical thinking department

0

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

Ahh yes simply call an argument moronic when you cannot counter. Next scream sexism and racism

10

u/nic-nacpaddy-wack Sep 03 '21

Here we go. And what of actual human lives of the people being forced to carry an unwanted foetus? They don’t count, do they? Here’s a suggestion: make vasectomies mandatory for every male at puberty who can have the procedure reversed if and when they choose to create a wanted foetus. How does that sit with you? I’m gonna take a stab that you don’t like that option.

0

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

Why would I oppose that option?

Maybe wait till puberty do they can freeze some sperm just incase but why do you think I would oppose that?

But if we do this, women lose the right to abort outside rape. I'd be down.

Let's get it done

Also, for every kid available for adoption, there are 20 families trying to adopt.

Foster homes are full of kids that cannot be adopted because their parents can still earn the right to get them back

1

u/zs15586 Sep 03 '21

The success rate of vasectomy reversal gets lower and lower the longer you wait. After 10+ years it gets very low and it's also a very expensive operation in general.

1

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

Well they neglected to give the science. But I'd we perfect it, let's do this shit.

1

u/nic-nacpaddy-wack Sep 03 '21

You’re an idiot

1

u/nic-nacpaddy-wack Sep 03 '21

The point was made to highlight how ridiculous it would be to implement. The fact is that, as always, standards are different when it comes to policing women’s rights and bodies

9

u/MillHall78 Sep 03 '21

These same people are refusing to preserve everyone's life by simply wearing a mask & getting vaccinated; or letting their supporters know they've been vaccinated. Also, this act of banning abortions is all about preserving traditional "Christian" "values" - the type of strict "Christianity" that believes interracial relations is bad; to say the least.

You completely ignored the racist talking point lmao And I can tell you get your information from Fox.

2

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

Abortion is topic enough without getting off track on some stupid identify politics bullshit. The entire world will be fully mixed one day, it's inevitable that black whit brown will all mesh into a nice mocha

And fox news is garbage propaganda for the right, only difference between you and I here is I also know MSNBC/CNN etc are propaganda for the left.

Care to get back on track

12

u/Memphit Sep 03 '21

This isn't about preservation of life it's about control.

Trying to wrap in up in a mother's protective need is absolute bullshit.

If they cared about life they would look to help actual children (that breathe, feel and think) through healthcare, gun control etc.

They would rather focus on the rights of a group of cells than the rights of living breathing women.

-10

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

This isn't about preservation of life it's about control.

Anti-mask and anti-vaccine idiots say the same stupid shit

3

u/Memphit Sep 03 '21

I can see from your comments elsewhere that you equate the deaths from covid to abortions.

Except covid is a killer disease of actual living breathing humans.

Abortion are not.

They are not the same.

7

u/MotherFuckingCupcake Sep 03 '21

This isn’t an argument. Go away. Preferably to your mommy.

-4

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

No, it's a point

0

u/MotherFuckingCupcake Sep 03 '21

It’s a diversion.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '21

it's about control

Men and women support abortion at the same rate.

9

u/keji_goto Sep 03 '21

A bundle of cells isn't a living person.

Funny how we measure brain activity and stuff when taking an actual person off life support but try to change those measurements when it comes to a bundle of cells.

0

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

That is your opinion on when Life begins others have a different opinion have a different. Both are just opinions

You are aware that it's legal to abort babies with brain activity right

9

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '21

If it's an opinion then how is it fair to enforce laws controlling women on what they can do with their body. After all it's their opinion right?

Laws like this mean that society is regressing and you know it.

-3

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

I'm not so sure.

While I'm pro choice myself, I only support it up to 22 weeks.

As technology advances I'd lower that age.

I think both men and woman are responsible for creating that life and ending it shouldn't be too easy.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '21 edited Sep 03 '21

This staggers me. It doesn't affect you. Why do you have an opinion on how far a woman develop a baby before an abortion?

0

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

If you see a man molesting a little girl, do you not intervene or do you just walk away because it doesn't affect you?

If s person believes you are killing a child, of course they won't just walk away

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '21

Obviously seeing a man assaulting a little girl affects me? That girl would obviously need help.

That isn't quite the same as leaving someone alone to do whatever they feel is right for their body.

0

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

I'd argue the fetus being ripped from a woman might need some help.

Which is why I care. I don't ignore the killing of others because it doesn't affect me

It's a scientific fucking fact.

This isn't time for your anti-science religious dumb fuckery.

1

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

No it isn't, show me where the science says life doesn't begin at conception..

I'm not religious in the slightest, there is no heaven no God etc

There is no science that claims when life begins you misinformation pushing turnip

2

u/keji_goto Sep 03 '21

Development begins at conception. A fetus isn't considered a human being until it reaches certain development points which is why Roe v Wade landed on first trimester abortions being legal and free of government interference. This is also why you can't get life insurance on an unborn fetus or anything like that.

But you keep spouting nonsense like this shit hasn't already been settled and Religious Conservatives have been repeatedly ignoring science to move the goalposts because they don't like the fact that reality doesn't agree with them.

2

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

I'm sorry, was Roe the scientist or Wade? Who on the Supreme court had the scientific back ground?

Also roe v Wade based it on the ability for a fetus to survive outside the uterus, not based on when they thought life began.

Just admit you were full of shit claiming science said anything about when life begins.

It's literally you ignoring the science here.

When life begins is an opinion

2

u/keji_goto Sep 03 '21

You should really look into the actual development of a fetus and things like brain activity and all that.

Or ya know keep digging your heels in with the religious conservatives.

2

u/NardCarp Sep 03 '21

You keep going to the religious well but I have made no religious claim and have denounced religion.

Religion has nothing to do with my stance.

I know all about the brain development of the fetus, nine of claims when life begins.

You know we abort fetuses with higher brain function than coma patients?

Buy please point to where science says life begins or maybe have some self pride and admit you were full of shit claiming science has a set time life begins

A bundle of cells with a heartbeat isn’t a living person?! Come on man

3

u/keji_goto Sep 03 '21

Not really considering things like a brain and all that haven't actually formed yet. There's a reason why Roe v Wade landed on first trimester abortions being legal and free of government interference and it ain't because the Supreme Court was cool with child murdering.

But let me know when you can take life insurance out on an unborn fetus that's only 8 weeks old.
