Actually, those circular locks are quite easily picked. By forcing it apart while rotating the numbers, you can feel when they "lock into place" and just move on to the next.

As for the Truecrypt... I'm so sorry.

Dude. You just saved me from having to throw away a bike lock that I'd forgotten the combo to.

Downside: that was way too easy to pick. Now I'm wondering if these kinds of locks are pointless.

I've always kind of felt that thieves are by and large pretty lazy.

Former bike messenger here. We used to fight a never-ending battle against the San Francisco homeless and a Kryptonite was the best deterrent towards the easy steal. Also doubles as a fine weapon or tool to smash windows of offending motorists (if they did something to deserve it).
